That's what I get, I guess

In my efforts to clear out my PS3 backlog, I started playing Lord of the Rings: War in the North. It is not a good game, nor was it a terrible game...until I ran into a game breaking glitch that keeps me from progressing past the halfway mark.

Awesome. I'd head the game wasn't great. I could have told myself no when it was on sale on the PSN a while ago. I could have told myself I didn't need another game, even if it's only a few hours.

But no. Now I have a broken game that I can't complete and my gamer OCD is kicking in over that. Dammit dammit dammit.

Ugh! That's pretty rough, man. Well, maybe it's a sign to move on to something else.

I played this co-op with a friend on 360 and it was fine until a glitch made one of us unable to progress to the final boss. We managed to get past it finally (I think by loading an older save or something) but one of us didn't get the achievement for finishing the game. It was fun though.

It's not a completely bad game otherwise. I didn't mind the hack n slash so much and would have liked to have finished it. Message boards say there's a (sort of) fix by joining a multiplayer co-op match at the same level, but the game is pretty much dead, so that seems out of the question.

Yea, there was something about the sync of the players. In my play through I had advanced a few checkpoints ahead of my friend (while he was away on a phone call), and after that we couldn't get back in sync and the game wouldn't let both of us past the last checkpoint. If they could've fixed this one problem, the game would be a very solid hack 'n' slash. I had a blast with it 90% of the time.

Playing on anything but easy too, was impossible. You just get mauled from all sides.

That sucks.  I hate putting hours into a game and then coming across a glitch that keeps me from finishing it.

Gamer OCD is terrible. I'm sure you have that internal monologue going on telling you that you need to go through it all again. UGH! Cry This happens to me everytime if the power goes out and I lose progress. Many a late night spent trying to get back to where I was cut off before I felt I could leave it for the night.

I do have that running around in my head! Maybe if I restart, the glitch won't happen this time, but it's something like 8 hours of gameplay to get to this point. Sheesh.

I hate getting so far only for it to be all for naught. It's not I'm an achievement whore but when a game bugs out of me it's the equvilent of reading a book only for the next couple of pages to be gibberish spewing misprints.
