I've gotten into skateboarding, kinda

I've been feeling kinda Descendents-y lately...

I've had a pretty good week so far. I'm kinda surprised that it's already Wednesday, though.

I've started reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill and am liking it so far. It's much longer than Horns, so it's taking a bit more time in introducing the characters. I don't mind this, as the story seems to be much, much further out there than Horns. So far it involves a young girl who can teleport (maybe) and a low IQ man who has been recruited to work with a child murderer who runs a mystical amusement park called Christmasland.

Yeah, its a lot weirder than Horns.

I finished the Back to the Future game and will probably be writing a review of that soon.

I found myself getting caught up with OlliOlli on the Vita last night, which is probably why I've been listening to 80s Cali punk today. I played until about 2 trying to complete every goal in each level, including the Pro levels. For those who aren't familiar with the game, OlliOlli is a 2d skateboarding game that relies on twitch controls. I usually find those kinds of game frustrating, but there's something addictive about it...I'm probably go play more of it right now.

real skateboarding? My friend is a late in life skateboarder. She picked it up in her late twenties, but is really into it now. She's like a teenaged boy at heart.

Nah, just Vita skateboarding. I kinda wish I could get into real skateboarding, but I have the coordination of an elderly man, so that would be tough lol

i used to skate (us cool California kids just say skate, not skateboard lol) way back in my teens. Those were good days.

I remember nailing frontside flips for the first time.....one of the most exhiliarating experiences of my life.

Funny. I was thinking of skateboards today too. I was thinking it would be cheaper to get than a bike and might get me around nearly as fast. I don't have much interest in stunts, just great modes of transportation that don't involve the internal combustion engine.

you should look into getting a longboard...one with some nice sturdy Indy trucks and big soft wheels, and a good set of bearrings....you'll be able to roll for long, long stretches off just a couple/few pushes

I still love the Descendents.

I always wish I got more into skating when I was younger. My brother was really into it when we were kids (and still kind of is) and I loved everything about it, but I was just never good and gave up way too early.

I recently watched some old skateboarding movies that I loved as a kid (like the Bones Brigade movies) and while they are cheesy as hell, they are still fun to watch.

I don't know too many skateboarding movies. Actually, all I know is Gleaming the Cube, which I saw on saturday afternoon tv when I was kid. It stuck with me just cuz of that name.

And The Descendents rule!!! lol
