As Lucy Ann and Zoey continue thier discussion Francis looks over at Ellis and says "country boy, I don't know a lot about you". Ellis looks at Francis and asks "what do you want to know? I want to know what it's like to chase hogs and drink moonshine and fish with your hands. Looking shocked Ellis says "what makes you think I would know that?" Isn't that what all country boys know Francis says with a grin. Pretty much except for one thing Ellis relied. What would that be little man? That's easy, easy enough rider, we can also kick ass.

Pardon the delay in following up with a more appropiate ending. Life feels like it has fallen in on me lately. Daughter graduated from college, son went to work where I work, and my youngest daughter just starting college. I have an alternate ending to start with that may go down a bit easier than the cop out ending I have already published. Stay tuneds I shall deliver. Thanks for being patience. 

This is the standard ending when you run out of ideas. I have a few new ideas brewing and I am sure there will be one or two or even more alternate endings. So forgive the anti-clmatic ending. A new ending will post soon.

The group sits down around a camp fire and talks over things. They realize they have overcome many different challenges. The death they have seen, the destruction of the human race, and so many areas destroyed. But as our heros all join hands and start to pray (to whom at this point is anyones guess), they don't see the micro flash of light as their compound is destroyed by a nuclelar warhead. Our story ends here as our heros have been defeated, not by the dead but by an unknown source.

Now can I be alone? Bill drops his his head, slumps his shoulders,and slowly walks away. "Happy now" Francis snaps at Zoey.This is some pain that no one should have to endure much less relive because a smart ass teenager had to push him way to far. I thought I could help, I never figured something like that could happen with Bill. A silent figure slowly made their way towards Zoey and Francis. The figure slowly reached out and touched Zoey's shoulder.She then slowly turned Zoey towards her and enveloped her in a loving hug. Don't try to take it so hard Zoey, you had no way of knowing what Grandpa has been through. Zoey hugged back tightly and said "Thank you so much Lucy Ann, you will never know how much that means to me." Lucy Ann says" but Zoey I really will, for the granddaughter that Bill had to shoot was my sister." Don't worry now because grandpa will get over it in time. But until then we must continue to try to survive. For you are now all the family grandpa has, and I think that you can now see what family means to grandpa.

As our survivors regroup and recover,Bill starts off by himself. Zoey starts after him when Francis grabs her arm and shakes his head. The old boy has been through a very trying event and needs to be alone. "Well I don't like it" Zoey says as she stares at Francis, I think he needs his friends. Damn you hard headed woman, would you listen to me please. Bill took the little girl to heart. I think she may have resembled another granddaughter he had. But I think this one may have turned. Roaring, Bill turns around and says"since you both seem to need to know, she was my granddaughter and she did change as I held her in my arms". I turned my head for less than one minute and one of her former friends bit her. I thought if I held and loved her it would be okay. I was wrong. The last thing I thought was "I wish i could help you" but knowing that I couldn't, I did what had to be done. My world ended when I squeezed the trigger and I watched as your life ebbed from your body. God forgive me for letting you down. RIP little one, and God bless.   

"May we have a moment of silence for that brave little girl that just saved our ass?" Everyone jumps at the fact that is was Francis making this kind gesture. After a moment Bill breaks down crying. What's up Grandpa, asks Lucy Ann. It just feels like I lost someone very close to me. Without thinking Ellis steps out beyond the saftey of the walls and retrieves the mysterious little girls hat. What comes next could only be in a fantasy. A scream followed by laughter followed by joy. "I swear that boy has lost his mind" Coach says as they approach the gate. Surprise everyone, as Ellis steps back in covered  a sticky sweet mess. I guess she really didn't want me to take her hat. Cheers rose as our group watches the little girl with the large lollypop walk away. For some reason the tension was released when they realized the little girl was still with them. But no one notices that there is a strange gleam in the eyes of Bill and the fact he seems to be distracted. Did our group relax a little soon? Time will tell. Or will it?

Francis looks around and says "looks like you guys are living high on the hog". Rochelle looks over at Francis and says "what do you know about living high on anythinig?"  Lady, if I hadn't changed my ways I should you what high was all about. Now I don't even like an adrenlian shot. No but you sure fancy leather dont ya tough guy. Well I'll be damned if it isn't the polyester weraing, mealy mouth, low life gambler. Thought your group would have tired of you long ago and fed you to the Zombies. Then again maybe they didn't want to poison the Zombies. "Good to see you too" as they hugged. Zoey looks over her travling companions and then looks at the other survivors and says "We would like to shower if at all possible." Sure darlin you can shower with me" Nick says with a smirk. Ellis stands up and grabs Nick by the collar, you best talk to this lady with respect, you done pissed off the only other female left alive. It's okay Ellis taking a shower with Nick would be like a roller coaster, stars fast and ends faster. Coach laughs so hard he falls to the ground. Good thing he did because lurking just outside the walls he finds a Vamp. When he looks again he sees several Vamps and they are all moving towards the survivors. As the walls start to crumble from the strain of the sheer weight a small figure appears on the horizon. All you see is a floppy hat, sailors dress, and an oversized lolly pop. The Vamps turn towards the new intruder and start off after her. The last thing heard is a blood curdiling scream and then you see a big floopy hat being pushed away in the breeze. She saved us you know, Bill says as he removes his hat. Bravest little girl I ever met. Baddest too, just ask Francis. Are we seeing the begining of a new civilization, or the beginning of the end? 

The time draw near (that and I am on vacation) to finish the epic tail of eight survivors from Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. So in the coming days we should finally find out if the survivors have made it, or if they died a horrrible death. (Or maybe some of both.) Bear with me as the end draws near. Old Dude1

Our survivors jump as a single shot rings out. They all jerk their heads around to see a spitter fall. Now that could have really messed up ourday quips Nick. Who the hell shot it and from where? Rochelle says"someone that can shoot pretty darn good". Ellis shakes his head and says "God damned rookies" common sense would tell you that there is someone on the right flank watching our backs. What the hell you talking about bumble boy aska a confused Coach? Here Coach let me explain it to you in a way even a simpleton like you will understand it. It is like having someone look over your shoulder while you are preparing a game plan. Undestand now mushbrain? All I now is, I want to know who is shooting and then I want to move on, and then I want to kick your bumble guy ass. "Well, why don't we start by moving under cover, then we can figure out who is shooting at us, and then you can eat a big breakfast and try to kick my bumble boy ass" Ellis tells Coach. The group moves to a covered area unaware that the singing has gotten closer. As has the other survivors. Coach looks over at Ellis and says "you ready to get whopped punk" snarles Coach as he starts towards Ellis. Ellis says "bring it on fat boy you can't stay with me. As Coach starts to swing his arm I grabbed by a strong presence. Hi, I am Francis and I am partial to lttle back wood geeks that think they are tough. At that point the survivors realize that ahve found one another and have reformed for better or worse. "At least now we know who was shooting at us says Rochelle. The newly reformed group starts off to their sleeping quarters to plan their next move.
