I havn't knocked it at all. There are not enough games out right now for me and I've never been an early adopter (except for the n64) but I envision in a year or two I'll probably own one.
I'm with you on the back log thing between my 360, wii (also gc games) , ds (also gba games) , ps2 (also ps1 games), n64, heck I even have snes and nes games I never finished. I'm actually thinking about picking up a PS3 finally which is like getting a new console I guess and oh so much cheaper. I'll probably wait until PS4 comes out the 3 price drops.
I never got a PS3 and I have been thinking of picking one up just for this game.
I'm betraying my age but I grew up with the original Metroid and raced to the store when Super Metroid came out. It was in my top 3 for SNES games back in the day and still is. I really have not played it since but at 30 cents I recommend anyone who likes good games or even a remote interest in gaming's past take advantage of that deal. Come to think of it, I still have my original copy and my SNES. I may just dig it out again!
I agree that patience is a virtue. I'm not flying off the handle yet (and won't) but what I will state is that there are rumors that will be deal breakers for me if they come to fruition. I don't care if the games are awesome, somethings I just will not be willing to justify on principle alone. I have no problems fulfilling my time with an extensive back catalog anyways. Please don't take this as a rant or quick reaction to rumors. I'm simply stating if things take a direction I am not comfortable with, I will simply go elsewhere to fulfill my needs.

I had to quote this line, though my response is not really directed at you. I see a lot of people on various sites cry about this and how Star Wars games will be crap now. I'm not sure if people didn't keep score or not, but Lucas Arts had its own share of crap over the years. At times, it seems like for every 1 awesome Star Wars game, about 4 were absolute junk. I'm especially looking at you PS1 Episode 1 eras.
From what little I have heard of the story, he broke it off and she was the one stalking him, though every story has three sides as they say (his/hers/the truth). That said, it is sad that they use what consenting adults choose to do and try to spin it into a negative reflection on a person as if every "normal" does it missionary with a sheet between them for procreation purposes only. I suspect the "as long as you're the one doing the pointing, nobody is looking at you" comes into play here. People often have a tendency to take things they feel guilty about doing and looking at others negatively for it to hide/release their shame. I still find it weird that our society is so hung up on sex, but violence seems to often get a free pass.
