And yet another snow storm looms in my immediate future. Yay. Actually, if I didn't have to shovel it, I'd be a lot more excited. Did my weekly grocery shopping and was picking stuff up to make chili. Apparently, so was everyone else. Glad I already had most of what I needed, because the shelves with the canned beans were pretty bare, as was the section with the canned tomatoes. I got lucky and managed to find a can of plain diced tomatoes, and with that and the hamburger, i was all set. So tomorrow I have gaming and cooking chili on the agenda, and nothing else.
Day 4: Remember when the Far Cry series was a joke? I do. I remember that Uwe Boll made a terrible film based off it too. Vengeance is far too appropriate a word to describe what I want to seek upon this game. So without further ado...I present....Far Cry: Before it was good...I mean Vengeance.
The Sega Genesis. The Genesis was the console my brother wanted for Christmas one year. I was in high school and at this point I really wasn’t into video games other than my Sega Game Gear and a regular Gameboy but I would play a game every so often. Anyways years later I took control of the Genesis and brought it to college because I had a lot of time between classes, which looking back I should have used to study but hey it was all about keeping busy before the everyone got internet crazy.
There are a lot of endless runners on the App Store. I mean, there's a frickin' ton of them and Worm Run falls into that group, technically. But a few things set it apart from similar games. First of all, your character doesn't run automatically. Swiping left or right sends your little guy in that direction and swiping up (including diagonals) makes him jump. You also have a little boost you can do several times in the air that recharches when you touch the ground or a wall.
So sometime last Fall I discovered Mii Plaza and Street Pass on my 3DS XL. I've gotten more and more obsessed with it. Now I carry my 3DS XL around with me all the time. I greet Miis every night, and then run them through the various Mii Plaza games. I would usually get three or four Miis a day and use my coins gathered from steps taken to fill out the crew to the max of ten. Last week though, I decided to save up all the Miis until I hit 10, and then play the games. Last week I got nine after a whole week. I'm hoping for ten this week, but we'll see.
Due to sleepy Blake trying to convince me that there was polar bears in Antartica and they eat penguins, first "I got nothing, have facts and gifs" blog is on polar bears >>;
