Backloggers Anonymous Poll

Which game do you want us to play next?

[Update] The poll is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated!

With Bioshock Infinite recently released, the Backloggers crew is hard at work on one of Irrational's earliest successes: System Shock 2. Usually I'd be talking with the staff figuring out our next title already, but if you've been following my blog, you'd know we're trying something new. This time, we want you to decide our next game.

We got quite a few nominations, and narrowing them down wasn't easy. A lot of them were games we wanted to cover, but were unable to at this moment due to time or hardware limitations (I don't have a way to play PS2 games at the moment, but I'm working on it!). We typically hold off longer titles like RPGs for the summer, or when there's not quite as many new releases on the calender, so if you requested a lengthy RPG, don't worry, I love RPGs, we just don't have the time to play one right now.

Which game do you want featured on the next Backloggers Anonymous?

My preferences seem to run like those of the masses. I voted for Alan Wake but my second choice was Mirror's Edge and then Vanquish. And sorry, Julian, but I've actually played Eternal Darkness already lol.

I actually voted for Vanquish because it was the only game on the list actually in my backlog, lol. It's just that Eternal Darkness was such a heavy hitter in the MIA March Madness polls.

I don't really have a preference, but I'm obligated to vote for MM XZ. Or was it ZX? XYZ? Bah, who cares? It's Mega Man!

Decisions, decisions.  In the end I went with Mega Man ZX.  Even though it's going to take me a while to work my way up to that game (I aim to replay it this year), I'd like to hear other opinions about it.  Mega Man ZX seems to be widely overlooked, even by fans of the franchise, and covering it might remind others that it exists.

On that list I voted for Mirror's Edge. I've played through it a few times already but I'd like to play it with everybody again since it's one of my favorite games. It's a short enough game to work for the type of schedules everybody has and it might end up being a fairly topical game to play and good time to play it since E3 isn't far away and we might hear about Mirror's Edge 2 before long since it's been in development over in Sweden for a while now.

I vote for Split Second since I just started playing it and that game got so overlooked.

I would have voted for Eternal Darkness but I"m about to play that one and don't want spoilers! Mirrors Edge is one I always meant to get to but never did. I'll leave it to you guys!

I love Eternal Darkness, but I played through it 3 times back when it first came out, so while I voted for it in the last poll as a franchise I would like to see come back, I didn't vote for it here.

I had to vote for Alan Wake b/c I've always been curious about that game.

Looks like Mirror's Edge and Alan Wake are the front runners.

Looks like I'm going to be on Backloggers Anonymous for a while. Cool

There is only one game on this entire list that I've played before, and it's looking like that game might be our winner.

That being said, I'll be pretty happy to have an excuse to play that game a second time.
