Angry Birds Coming to Consoles

At the first Social Gaming Summit, Rovio has announced the news.

The first Social Gaming Summit has revealed that the popular iPhone and Android game, Angry Birds, is coming to WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PlayStation Network.

As a part of the announcement, the team has stated that the game will feature a multiplayer mode that will resemble "old school Worms."

This multiplayer mode comes in addition to the game's standard single player mode that has players shooting birds of different sizes at a group of pigs on the other side of the world. Protecting the pigs are a variety of blocks, and players have a limited number of birds to dispense of the pigs.

Not much else is known about when the title will release or how much it will cost.

I downloaded this on my phone two weeks ago to see why everyone likes it.

I'm beginning to think it's being downloaded so much so people can all see why everyone else likes it. It's not bad, don't get me wrong. It's just so far, it's been pretty average. There's not too much special about it.

I agree, Jason. I had this on my iPhone a while back and honestly, it wasn't anything special. Felt like a less interesting Boom Blox.

I redownloaded it on my Android phone last night (it's free) in order to check it out again and see if maybe I missed something all that time ago.
