Call of Duty Elite Issues Warrant Free Month

Players now have until the end of November to sign up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer has been pretty smooth since its launch but the new Elite service has not. Users are having trouble registering, logging in, and accessing stats due to the servers being unable to handle the demand. Due to these problems, the Elite service will be limited until additional servers are added.

A statement was issued stating, "[W]e are having trouble scaling the service to meet demand. Many of you are trying to get in and unfortunately, you can't right now. You're frustrated, we know it, and we know we need to fix it. Our teams have been working non-stop to identify issues and resolve them as quickly as possible. Again, these issues have no impact on the performance of the game."

Those who bought the Hardened Edition will receive Founder status. This means that a lifetime status will be granted to those players and they will be given access to competitions, prizes and in-game items like camouflage, emblems and player cards. Founders will also receive a free 30-day extension to their membership. Additionally, players have until the end of November to sign up for Elite and be a Founder, giving them the extension as well.
