Tekken 3D Prime Edition Gets a Release Date

Valentine's Day just got a little more crowded.

The Tekken franchise has a lot going on at the moment.  Tekken Hybrid was recently released and the popular fighting series finally gets to put up against rival Street Fighter series in Tekken X Street Fighter due out next year.  Perhaps lost in all this Tekken news is the development of Tekken 3D Prime Edition which is coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS and now has a release date.

Fans should mark their calendars for February 14, 2012 if they hadn’t already.  This marks the third high profile game to announce a Valentine’s Day release.  Previously announced games include reboots of SSX and Twisted Metal.  The first quarter is increasingly becoming crowded with highly anticipated games, which may worry money depleted gamers coming off an intense holiday release schedule.

Stay tuned to PixlBit for more news and our eventual review of Tekken 3D Prime Edition.
