Capcom Offers Explanation Over Xbox 360 Street Fighter X Tekken's Missing Co-Op

The Xbox 360's "architecture" is said to be the cause for the missing feature.

When Street Fighter X Tekken was released last Tuesday, many players found out that the Xbox 360 version didn't include four player co-op mode - which allows you and a friend to team up locally and take on another team online - despite it being mentioned as a feature in the instructional manual and being available on the PlayStation 3 version.

Joystiq is reporting that Street Fighter X Tekken's assistant producer Tomoaki Ayano has released a statement on Capcom-Unity addressing the uproar caused by the feature's omission.

Throughout the development process, there are times when new features are added (and we added a lot of them!) and there are also times where we have to make tough decisions regarding things to cut. This was one of those times. This mode is supported in the PlayStation 3 version, however, since we tackled that earlier and found the architecture of their system to be more conducive to implementing it.

Ayano also mentioned that information about further game updates is "coming up soon." PixlBit's review of the game is coming soon so in the meantime, check out our preview
