Jet Set Radio Grinding Its Way Onto Vita

An updated version of the Dreamcast favorite is coming this summer.

Sega has confirmed that in addition to the previously revealed PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 ports of Jet Set Radio, PlayStation Vita owners will also be able to experience the Dreamcast classic for themselves. Currently, it has a release window of summer 2012. Those who would like to try the Vita version of the game will be able to at E3 2012, where it will be playable on the show floor.

The port will remain faithful to the Dreamcast original but will have upgraded HD visuals, touch screen functionality for graffitiing and camera integration. Sega digital business vice president Haruki Satomi has stated that the Vita version is "focused on creativity" and that the "touch capabilities of the [system] are proving to be a perfect fit."

E3 2012 will kick off on July 4, so expect more news on the upcoming title shortly.

Super Metroid sports great game design, with a wonderful atmosphere unparalleled on any 16-bit system. At only 30 cents on the Wii U eShop until June 16, there’s little reason to not give this excellent title a shot.
