New Media Released for American McGee's The Return of Alice

A new teaser trailer depicts Alice's insanity.

American McGee's Alice told the tale of a much darker Wonderland universe, set years after the original familiar story written by Lewis Carrol. Alice, a PC only title, became an instant cult classic among gamers and fans of the novel alike.

Earlier this year, EA announced that they were partnering up with American McGee to create a sequel, The Return of Alice. While much about the title itself is unknown, it has been revealed that the game will release for the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3.

On his blog, American McGee calls the original Alice a "good bit of fun" and details the biggest challenge with creating a sequel is to "build a great game…worthy of the original."

American McGee's The Return of Alice is currently in development by American McGee's studio Spicy Horse and is set to be published by EA. Although many details regarding the title still remain secret, there were two pieces of art released earlier this year, along with a recently released trailer, that fans can check out below.

I always wanted to play the original Alice but couldn't stand the PC controls.

Thankfully this will be coming out on the PS3/Xbox 360 so I'll actually be able to use a real controller this time around. Perhaps they'll even re-release the original on a console.

As a parting note...holy sh*t that trailer is creepy.
