Guitar Hero 5's Downloadable Tracks for October Revealed

Guitar Hero fans can look forward to Queens of the Stone Age, Wolfmother, Billy Squier, the Misfits, and more in the month of October.

Activision announced the October track packs for Guitar Hero 5 today, and it includes a good variety of bands.

On October 1, three songs from Queens of the Stone Age's 1998 self-titled debut album, which is getting a remastered release in November. The band has a song from their most recent album, 2007's Era Vulgaris, on the Guitar Hero 5 disc, and has also made an appearance in Rock Band and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits.

Billy Squier, who also has a song on the Guitar Hero 5 disc, has three tracks coming out on October 8, including his popular '80s hit, "Everybody Wants You."

Three songs from Wolfmother's upcoming album Cosmic Egg are coming out of October 15. Wolfmother is also on the Guitar 5 disc with a song from the special edition of their new album.

On October 22, The J. Geils Band and Triumph make their rhythm game debuts, the former with their classic "Freeze Frame." Peter Frampton rounds out the three-song pack with a live version of "Show Me The Way."

Guitar Hero goes Halloween on October 29 with GWAR, Marilyn Manson, and The Misfits. All three are making their Guitar Hero debut, and all three are ridiculous.

I'm a big fan of Queens, and I'm totally behind the Halloween pack.

Nobody else wants more Aerosmith? They missed about half of the good songs in their own game!

Did I say I'm getting it? I just said I'm behind it. The amount of time I don't spend with rhythm games is dissuading me from DLC.
