Nintendo Releasing Red Wii for Mario's 25th Anniversary

The system is currently only slated for Japan.

Nintendo revealed today that they plan to release a sexy red Wii in honor of their plumber mascot's 25th year of jumping on villains heads.

The system is priced at 20,000 yen ($243) and will be packaged with Super Mario Collection, a Wii version of the classic Super Mario All-Stars title that appeared on the SNES. In addition to the red system, a red Wii Remote Plus will also be packaged, complete with red controller case.

In addition to the reveal of this new system system package, Nintendo of Europe announced today that Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary will be arriving in Europe on December 3.

Japanese gamers looking to grab the new colored Wii system with game can do so on November 11.

This thing looks sharp. I loved the various Wii colors Nintendo initially showed off and tested, and I might have been tempted to pick up something other than black or white had Nintendo made them available initially.

I need to look up that graphic at some point and post it, for both nostalgia and speculation.

Yeah, I normally don't go for colored consoles that much, but I am very impressed with that shade of red.

"Sexy red Wii"? Why do you want to have sex with this red Wii?

Do you really want to go down that route, Kathrine?

Don't look at me, I'm not the one sexually attracted to a red videogaming system.

You better watch out. Someone might want to show you their red Wii and see if you'll change your mind.
