EA Registers Two SSX Domain Names

SSX: First Descent and SSX: Deadly Descent might just be the next new SSX titles out there.

Fans of the downhill snowboarding genre or SSX in particular will be delighted to know EA has been busy registering domain names relating to the SSX series.

Destructoid points out a rumor that Criterion, the developer of the Burnout titles, might be the team behind this/these new SSX titles.

Aside from the rumor and the domain names, there's no solid information about upcoming SSX games, but considering it's been over three years since the last console SSX game was released and over five since the series has seen a multiplatform title, many would say a new entry into the popular series is far overdue.

I'd imagine EA is probably planning to separate the 360 and PS3 versions of the title from the Wii one, giving the First Descent name to the Wii version, and Deadly Descent to the others.

Really, I'm just hoping for a 3DS release for one of these games. I think it would look pretty good.

OMG, about time they release another SSX. I didn't manage to play the Wii game to its entirety, but I enjoyed of what liitle I could. My main problem was that I could never get the uber-tricks (I think that's what the special tricks were called) to work.

That sounds reasonable to me, Jason. If Criterion is behind the latest, I'm extra excited for the possible game(s).
