Did you know that flash memory-based cartridges could have atrocious loading times? Neither did I.
Rush job releases are pretty commonplace for the launch of a system, but you don’t typically see first party games falling peril to this. ModNation Racers: Road Trip stands in stark contrast to the norm as it carries a wide variety of issues, ranging from slowdown during races, to hefty loading times, to unresponsive menus, and rubber-banding AI.
We just need some dino DNA to bring this franchise back from extinction.

For those of you not familiar with my weekly staple, MIA is a column where we pick a game or franchise out of the gutter, clean it up and present it for a current generation update.

In August, Sony opened a contest to allow fans to vote for the name of the upcoming ModNation Racers title for the PlayStation Vita. Now that the contest hosted on the PlayStation Blog has ended, Sony has revealed the winning name. The ModNation Racers game for the upcoming Sony handheld will be titled, ModNation Racers: Road Trip.

A new iteration of kart racer ModNation Racers for PlayStation Vita was shown off today at E3 that looks to bring improved features right off the starting line.
