Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine studios, wants to make Psychonauts 2.  “I would love to do Psychonauts 2, I’ve actually pitched that to publishers several times and no-one has taken the bait so far,” said Schafer in an interview with Digital Spy.

Cobalt Is In Alpha

Meet Cobalt, MineCraft’s crazy cousin.

Small independent Swedish game developer Oxeye released Cobalt last week, their new 2D action/shooter platformer. Currently the game is in Alpha, but Oxeye looks to mimic their partner Mojang’s (the makers of MineCraft) release method. Players who pre-order Cobalt in the alpha will be granted full access to the Beta and full version of the game as they become available.

Minecraft Officially Released

It's here for real, people! EVERYBODY DANCE, NOW!

On Friday, November 18, 2011, onstage at MineCon in Las Vegas, Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson pulled a giant, pixelated switch in the style of the game, symbolizing the release of the "full version" of Minecraft. Balloons and streamers came down, and the development team at Mojang began an impromptu dance party.

Scrolls Alpha Sign Up Begins

Face it, even though you don't know what the game is you want to sign up for this anyway.

Mojang’s upcoming game Scrolls has been in the gaming news quite a bit lately. Most recently the Minecraft creator won an interim injunction against ZeniMax and Bethesda concerning rights to the name Scrolls. While the legal battle is likely far from over, this little victory is an important one as Mojang can now more freely market and talk about the game. Perhaps he'll even tell us a little more about this Alpha signup that just went up.
