An unfortunate misstep that won't soon be forgotten.
Out of every game I’ve played this year, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is without a doubt the biggest disappointment. For a series whose name automatically garners praise and adoration from the gaming community, this title is a blemish on its reputation. All of the passion and soul created by carefully weaving the ongoing plotline into evolving gameplay feels abandoned with Revelations. Without it, all that’s left is a game with a convoluted story and gameplay that is practically identical to Brotherhood.
$150 for a Xbox 360 and a $200 PS3 Bundle highlight the savings
As Black Friday looms closer and closer, more retailers are revealing their special prices for the consumer holiday and Gamestop is no exception. A multi-page ad was released showing the savings they're going to have that range from $100 3DS bundles to $30 for RAGE.
The Gears Trilogy ends on a strong note.
Whether it's due to the fresh take it had on the 3rd person shooter, its high-stakes action, or gameplay innovations, gamers latched on to the Gears series and came to discover that this franchise was one to look out for. Millions of copies sold and many Game of the Year accolades later, Gears of War 3 is the final installment in the trilogy and it shows exactly why the series has stayed relevant and popular over the years.
The biggest shopping day of the year is almost here and Best Buy is prepared.
Best Buy's Black Friday deals have been revealed and they are quite similar to Walmart's. However, what sets them apart are their 3DS bundles. $179.99 will get you a Cosmo Black Nintendo 3DS with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D or a Flame Red Nintendo 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land - either way, a $30 savings.

"Watch your credit cards," warns Valve.
Valve's download service Steam has been hacked and credit card information may have been accessed. Hackers have apparently broken into a database that holds user names, passwords, purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and credit card information.
Just don't ask us when that will be.
At this past E3 Nintendo pulled back the curtains on the Wii U, the company’s first gaming platform capable of producing High Definition graphics. While the controller and muddled presentation of the system took most of the spotlight, Nintendo produced a sizzle reel of 3rd party games that are said to be in development for the new system. One of the more notable games in the reel was Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, a title that should give Nintendo some credentials with the mature gaming audience. While we still don’t know for sure when the game is set to hit shelves, we have it on good authority it will launch alongside the system promoting it.
This is a change from Ubisoft's recent treatment of its PC titles.
The PC version of Assassin's Creed Revelations will not come with always-on DRM. Ubisoft confirmed to Rock, Paper, Shotgun that players need to be online when they first start the game, but that after that, no connection is needed.
