Demon's Souls Review

The greatest game of the year or an exercise in frustration?

Demon's Souls is an unapologetically hard game. For full disclosure, I have played quite a bit of the game, but have not made very much progress. The title, set in a dark dreary medieval land, is split into levels each being of considerable length. Unlike most modern games, Demon's Souls offers no checkpoints mid-level, even though each level can take upwards of an hour to complete.

I, like many gamers today, grew up with many video game mascots across the NES, SNES, and Genesis; however, none ever had the lasting impression that Banjo-Kazooie seemed to have. A dopey bear and a saucy bird are paired up in a world where an evil rhyming witch is trying to improve her appearance by swiping the bear's sister and using her in an evil experiment.

Limited Edition Black Wii Bundle and Classic Controller Pro Announced for Europe

The bundle will be available at different points in November and comes with a variety of extras.

Nintendo of Europe announced today that they plan to release a Limited Edition Wii Bundle starting November 6 in Ireland and the UK. On November 20, the bundle will be available in mainland Europe.

Oddworld Coming to PSN This Week

A PlayStation Blog post by Lorne Lanning reveals that the announced titles will be available this week.

Oddworld is the creation of Lorne Lanning, co-founder and creative director of Oddworld Inhabitants. His first two PSone titles, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus will be available this week on PSN, according to a recent post of his on the PlayStation Blog.
