Why Does This Keep Happening?

Another game I won't be getting then... Yay...

I was pretty excited for Bravely Second, not so much now. Apparently there's been some alterations made in the version released in Europe, and I doubt it'll be any different when the game comes Stateside. Some I could tolerate, but this one in particular is just nonsensical.

My thoughts on it here, hopefully done properly.

What the hell is the point of making choices in sidequests if they all automatically go to the good resolution? I'm tired of this kind of laziness when it comes to releasing games now.

I've also read from other sources that whole sections of the game were removed, as well as at least one ending. This is ridiculous.

This is quite abysmal. They probably don't want to spend time/money translating the bad choices, and think gamers will be happy with what they get.

Bravely Default was kind of neat, but I never beat it so I'll probably not get this one either.

That's really crazy, I'm hoping with the NA verison isn't that way. I just gave gamestop hell for canceling my CE pre-order and they got me another one. I guess I'll wait a few weeks and see what else gets said.

I could see an argument for not wanting to have to replay an entire game to get a good ending, but if it's defaulting to the same good outcome, then yeah why bother?
