What're You Playing?

Hello denizens of PixlBit!

With the glut of Fall releases FINALLY behind us, we're all (for the most part) able to relax a bit and dig into the titles we're currently playing sans the pressure of review deadlines, scraping together that last 5 bucks to bail a copy of Game X out of pre-order, and agonizing over who'd win the Shooter War of 2011.  I don't know about you, but I spent too much money on titles that I'd never get through....

Yes, the nesting has begun....personally, I prefer to take a few puffs from a very fine $1.50 cigar, pop the tab on a can of cold soda and revel in the ample hugs my toddler lavishes on me EVERY TIME I get about 15 minutes into a game session (he's also my coach - whenever I get frustrated he's right there telling me "iss alwhite, dahddy!").  With no news on a release date for Skyrim's next patch, I've thrown that game at the bottom of the backlog.  That being so, I've been playing Dark Souls mainly.  It's been a learning experience for sure.

Up next after I finish Dark Souls is Snake Eater HD...I've started the game and played through to the part of the game where Snake encounters Revolver Ocelot for the first time.  I'm eager to resume my playthrough....I've found, though, that whenever I give attention to multiple titles, I rarely ever finish them.  Does anyone else have this issue?

Now that there's a lull in releases, what titles are you folks playing?  Are you enjoying your time with the game(s)?  What's next on the pike for you after you finish your current game(s)?  Like a birthday stripper, please BARE ALL.

Also...did you guys see that OnLive is coming to retail stores?  I believe I read that on n4g.  Very eeeeeeenteresting, that.  OnLive's had my attention ever since I saw the crazy good game deals they have at times...reminds me of Steam, though not quite as generous....yet.

When I can, I've been playing The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivian on PC, and I have also been finishing up Super Mario 3D Land on the 3DS.

My backlog is big, and I don't even call it backlog anymore. I call them "just games I have collected that at one point or another I will play".

Nice....my backlog is mostly digital. Of the 40+ PSN, PsOne, and minis games I've got...I think I've seen 4 or 5 of them to completion. I feel you on the "When I Can", too...at times it's a miracle to find even an hour for an uninterrupted session.

Being an adult sucks.

Right now I'm playing through Mass Effect 2 and Super Mario 3D Land - both are fantastic. After that...who knows.

Bioshock 2 and Mario Kart 7. Bioshock 2 is not a great game - not even a good game either. It's a game - a game you can play. Completely devoid of everything that made the first one a great game. It seems to exist because it could, not because it should. That being said, I'll be glad to be done with it in the coming days.

Tales of Vesperia on 360, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on my 3DS. I plan on finishing up Dark Souls after I'm done with Vesperia.

I plan on playing either Arkham City or Deus Ex when I'm done with Vesperia, and Nostalgia when my 3DS is clear of Zelda, unless Tales of the Abyss comes out before I finish. Then again, I don't know if I want to play two Tales games back to back...

Big Advocate of Onlive. You should try it immediately.

Playing Goldeneye Reloaded for review and I started Fable III for fun. I plan on starting up a game on my OnLive account since it's been awhile. I'm thinking either Darksiders or Borderlands since I never beat that game to completion. I'm also preparing to play a few of my XBLA games for review rewinds.

Jesse - 6 words: Asari Pole Dancers for the win.

Nick - I tried to play Bioshock 2, was turned off by it really fast. They should've taken it to a different location.

Angelo - Never played a Tales game. I like the art style, it's something my son would sit through with me, I may need to try it. and......SOULS.

Big Cuevas - I heard bad things about Fable 3, but I still want to try it. I played the first two through to completion, and enjoyed them both immensely.

I am mostly focused on Zelda: Skyward Sword. Also, chipping away at Batman: Arkham City and playing Uncharted 3 multiplayer.

TrpOpt - I've never played Uncharted mp. Is it worth purchasing Uncharted 3 for?

Also....I'm probably the only user @ PixlBit who really doesn't get down with Zelda games. Even my wife likes them. Meh.

I feel like my last comment on your blog was misplaced...oh well, I'll reiterate.

Currently I'm going back and trying out games on the Wii I missed out after an over-saturation of shooters. I also gave up on Skyrim, can't even finish the main quest because the game bugged out on me after 40+ hours put into it.

I've been playing Skyward Sword , Little Kings Story, Red Steel 2, and I'm gonna start Fragile Dreams pretty soon.

Lets see....I also plan and getting Madworld for its bold art style and well praised game play, and No More Heroes 2 later because I really enjoyed the first one.

I've also been trying to get good at Starcraft 2 lately (I am absolutely terrible at macro) and I might start playing Warhammer: Dawn of War 2 again.

I think that's about all I have planned so far.

I want to play Bastion again, and also beat a few other older titles. I need to play some of a game I've had for a while for review, too, but I won't mention that here.
