Well its all good news today. Just this past week, I got my glasses and was able to wear contacts again so my vision is restored. The eye doctors still didn't tell me if there is something wrong or if its gone but they told me I can wear glasses and contacts again so I am a happy camper. A week and half or so was a little too much without being able to see.

During my blindness and 5 or so trips to the doctors in 2 weeks, I had to go to the local shopping area and I had some time to kill. So I would stop in to the local goodwill. I behold I discovered that they have a ton of video games. Every time I went in they had a huge collection of games and for around 3 dollars, that is just a deal I cannot turn down. With the college student discount. I also stopped at the local gamestop to see what they had.

Xbox: Army Men: Major Malfunction, Crimson Skies, Blinx, Hunter:Reckoning

360: Too Human, Condemned 2

GC: StarFox Assult, TimeSplitters 2

Wii: Battalion Wars 2

Playstation: BioFreaks, Small Soldiers, Asteroids

Playstation 2: Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Gundam: Encounters in Space

DS: Picross

I haven't played any of these games yet. I just beat Batman:AC last night and I have the GOTY so I am doing all the dlc and extras. Batman AC is awesome, Playing the challenge maps as Robin and Nightwing are freakin sweet.

The games I am excited the most for are the Ratchet and Clank games since I have never played any of them. I have heard amazing things over the years. I need to plug that PS2 and play some of the backlog I have for that. Condemned 2 is another one I really excited for. I loved the first game. The atmosphere and combat system was awesome so hopefully they retained that in the second game.

I am going to try to get my capture system figured out so I can try to do some Let's Plays of these older games. I want to do it mainly just to help me get through my backlog so we will see if I need to get any more equipment. I caputre some Batman AC but I have an older Dazzle so the video looked kinda crappy so I don't know if I have to upgrade or just play with settings.

Thats it from me for now. I hope everyone had a great weekend. And continue to have a great week. Oh btdubbs. If you haven't checked out BatKid and what the city of SanFrancisco did for him, I suggest you check that out. It will warm your heart and it is just an amazing story. Make a Wish is amazing.

Love Crimson Skies. I picked up a still sealed new copy at a Library book sale once for $1. I mean, I already owned it, but why not have a pristine backup copy?

Oh man $1!!!! Sealed!!! Why not its just a dollar. I don't blame you at all. What a deal. I heard its an awesome game so I am excited for it. I love dog fighting in games. Is it like Rogue Squadron?

Umm, I guess so. The thing I like about it best is that you can do a quick turn to go the opposite direction. You don't have to take these long arcing turns like you do in most other aerial combat games. I know it's not realistic but that simulation stuff drives me crazy. I turn around  for what seems like forever and the whole time the enemy is right on my tail and I can't shake them. In Crimson Skies, I can turn right around and blast the crap out of them. I don't know why no one else has used this in any other flight combat game, but I hear that the Snoopy Flying Ace game on XBLA is similar in style and not bad.

Thanks, yea I am not a fan of super realistic flight simulators so thats a relief to hear.

I always get excited by the flight sim games when they come out. I used to build model planes when I was a kid and always loved plane design. But the controls of those games just frustrate me. This trailer for Damage Inc. last year got me all excited, but I think I'd like strategy game Ace Patrol on iPad better.

glad to hear you're doing better. I don't know what I'd do without my vision.

I just had lasik surgery on my eyes, and haven't played any videogames since the surgery (5 days and going). Definitely know what you mean about not appreciating the small things until something like that happens.
