These are just my thoughts on League of Legends. I have never played it so this is me looking in.

All in all it looks freaking awesome. It seems like it would be the best game if you had a group of friends to play with. I don’t really have that so I don’t think it would be that much fun. Fun is the wrong word. Rewarding. It is a team game so I want to be part of a team if I play. I watch the game a lot on twitch and the championship series, which it gets really intense. I have a hard time following some of the strategies and concepts but it is still enjoyable.

The free to play model is ingenious and they do it the best in the industry. I am not sure how it works exactly and to what extent but I know you can buy more heroes to play as. I believe a lot are free in certain seasons or something. Regardless it is interesting and if I can get some people cough* cough* my girlfriend to play then it is a good reason. She isn’t a huge gamer but I am converting her. We are having a great time with a couple games but I will save that for later.

It is based off Dota which was a Warcraft 3 mod. Interesting enough is that I never really got into Warcraft 3. I didn’t really like the mix of all the RTS and RPG. For me they mixed it weird. Maybe I just need to try it out again. I freakin loved Warcraft 2. One of my favorite games of all time. So the departure from what Warcraft 2 was and what Warcraft 3 is might have just made me not give 3 a chance.

The characters is what really draws me to LoL. There are so many choices and I love having so many choices. I think the strategies is really cool how different characters work together and each one is different. It is really quite the sport. If you haven’t watched a pro match, I highly recommend you do so. Like the championship tourney is incredible.

Well that was just a short snippet. I had a really busy day today so I just wanted to write something up real quick. Also I like watching LoL when I am doing homework so that’s what kind of sparked this BaD. Thanks for reading guys!!!

I'm tempted to try LoL. I've heard so much stuff about Dota, but never actually played it. Despite playing the crap out of Warcraft 3 lol. I'm not sure how that worked out. I'll probably watch some games of LoL if nothing else.

I was kind of reluctant to watch LoL. I thought it would be uninteresting since I don't play or hard to follow the game. It is surprisingly accessible. I really want to play Warcraft 3 and try to really get into it. I use to love RTS games and it was my favorite genre when I was younger. It really tasked me mentally which I loved. In recent years I just haven't gone back to them. I love the classics and not sure where to pick up.

Well, I'd defnitely recommend trying Warcraft 3 again. I can understand how you couldn't get into it. The gameplay is focused more around heroes, and it's a bit different than WC 2. The campaign is pretty difficult at some parts too. My favorite thing to do is simply fight random battles against the computer. On easy of course since I suck lol.

That was my favorite thing to do in WC2. Yea the heroes was just a weird concept back in the day for me. I think the mission I got stuck on was the last alliance mission. You had to stop the main villain from converting townspeople or something and you chased him around the map. I don't completely remember but I think I might boot that up this weekend and give it a spin to reinvigorate RTS for me.

Yea that is what I am afraid of that I won't be able to dedicate the time that the game deserves and is necessary.

LoL is awesome. I'm pretty new to it all as well Do you have a favourite hero yet? Also, I'd be happy to play with you!

I have not played at all and I really don't know all that much about heroes. I just watch the competitions and it gets really intense. I love watching the cutesy looking heroes that are the tanks on the teams and just destroy people. It is so ironic.
