Question. What was your favorite game in the 90's. mine a toss up. either FF8 / Zelda OoT / 007 Goldeneye. ready set go......
Super Metroid. A Link to the Past.
Three of my five top favorite games are from the 90's: SNES Super Mario Kart, FF6, and the PSOne Namco Museums. My other two favorites were from the 80's (Pac-Man), and early 2000's (GameCube Animal Crossing).
I think my favorite is probably FFIX or OoT. There's so many games in that decade though.... hard to pick.
Most of my favourite games off the top of my head are from the 90's and my #1 varies everytime I think about it. Let's go with FF VII today 
I have a vivid memory of playing Wargames: Defcon 1 on Playstation co-op with my friend Mark. We played it for a very long time one day trying to beat it, which we did, and I made myself an icecream soda with Diet Dr. Pepper and Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie. F'n great day that was.
Shit... Resident Evil 2. Or Abe's Exoddus. or Doom 2. Or MGS... AH TOO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!
