Various Methods of Escape

It may have taken me an inordinate amount of time but towards the end of last month I finally managed to finish up Conception II. All in all it's a pretty good game, and I had a blast.

After that I started up TLOZ: A Link Between Worlds. It was a little short (took me about three days to beat altogether), but a lot of fun. To my surprise, I found most of the pieces of heart and those little Maiamai without looking too intently at a guide or FAQ. I thought it'd be like most of the Zelda games I played where I'd be missing a few things here and there and I'd have to rack my brain while looking at a list trying in vain to remember what I did and didn't pick up.

Then after a short break I moved on to Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It was also fairly short (though my concept of 'how long' a game is could've been completely thrown off by how long it took me to finish up Conception II), but provided all the good fun that a Kirby game usually entails. I still have a bunch of rare keychains to look for, but I'm not really interested in doing that at the moment.

Right now I'm in the midst of another short break, but I'm thinking about what I should play next. I downloaded Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D so I'm pretty sure I'll play that next once I'm done letting my eyes rest from focusing on the small screen of my OG 3DS. Other than that, I've been messing around with my new TV, mainly playing the few Wii games I have and marveling at just how much easier it is to read (in that I'm actually able to read) the displays of games like Xenoblade and The Last Story when compared to my old tube.

I've also been trying to catch up as far as reading goes. I finished up A Feast for Crows, which means that all I have to do now is pick up A Dance with Dragons at some point and I'll be all caught up on that front. But before that I've got to tackle the stacks of other books I have to read, which include the three Grimnoir Chronicle books and the Monster Hunter series by Larry Correia.

I never know how to end blogs properly.

isn't it a blast enjoying games on a new game tv? That reminds me I need to get back on Xenblade Chronicles and The Last Story too. I've been enjoying DKC Returns 3D but I don't want to get too far for fear of my wife feeling left behind in the game.

I want to get into those George R.R. Martin books, but his Tolkien-esque amount of characters was too much for me last I read the first chapter of the first Game of Thrones book.

I'll probably be reading the first Game of Thrones book soon just to see what all the fuss is about. Several of his books in that series are always in the NY Times best seller list every darn week.

I'm really thinking seriously about picking up a Wii-U. I want to play DKC Tropical Freeze soon.

I really need to get back into Dance of Dragons. It's sitting on my iPod but I haven't touched it.

At some point I need to try that Donkey Kong game. It took forever to download I might as well play it.

Ah,reading ASOIAF,aye? You remind me I have to catch up. lol. I was on only the second or third book. I hope good ol George doesn't croak before he finishes his epic tale! I'll bring him back to life just to kill him again for having that kind of gall. lol. (I cannot stand cliff-hangers)
