SPOILERS:

Wow I am really behind. But I was able to watch Guardians of the Galaxy and it was so awesome. It is kinda on par with the Winter Soldier. I am not sure which one was better.

I'll give the slight edge to Winter Soldier.

For someone that is a comic book fan and doesn't know Guardians of the Galaxy is a tad appalling. Mainly, because, I should really know more comic realms. Yet, Marvel has so many damn heroes and comics they're hard to keep up with.

I loved this movie. So much action and neat characters. Peter Quill's mask is so dope. Rocky Raccoon which for some trivia for ya'll , he's named after the Beatle's song Rocky Raccoon, Groot a plant guy that is funny, Drax the Destroyer, a guy who is part of the same race as the villian (Ronin), And let's not forget Zoey Saldana's character  Gamora. She is very green! HAHHAHAHA! And she's a hot green woman.

Some notable mentions if you love comics. The Nova Corps...was very cool but the film messed their helmets up. The Collector who I did some small research on.  He's actually fairly powerful and pretty neat. THANOS. OMG! When I saw Thanos he was so menacing. I can't wait for the sequel because he will be there enemy. The whole story revolving around the Infinity Gauntlet and just one infinity stone. It is insane to think about esepically having read the Infinity Gauntlet.

Thanos is just one of the most powerful villians ever. He's cosmically powerfull and horrifying. The way he can just kill people is awful. I think the Avengers always have a hell of time trying to take down him and Ultron. Just a really awesome movie coming in fairly cold. Solid plot, some great acting and some great humor. I loved the film more I think because I had never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy but knew Nova Corps and the Collector. So it was neat meeting the characters. So Gamora is Thanos's half daughter the other one being Nebula. One green adn the other is blue! HAAHHAHAH! I love all the colors lol.

So this ought to set up a very interesting sequel where Thanos probably captures at least some more Infinity Stones.

9/10 I think the same score I gave  to the Winter Soldier.

What'd you guys think of the movie?

Cool

As a comic fan, I wasn't familiar with Guardians either. I've never really looked deeper under the surface in comics except for the more popular DC, Marvel and some Vertigo titles. I think Guardians was a sort of experiment for Marvel Studios. They wanted to see if they would be able to make hit movies from obscure licenses so they can sustain a studio without Spiderman, Fantastic Four and the X-Men, which they don't own the film licenses to. I think they succeeded. I'm sure we'll see more obscure comic movies after their initial phases or whatever comes after Avengers. Inhumans for example are supposed to be stand-ins for XMEN. Are you familiar with them?

The film was really fun. I don't think I heard anyone complain? I mean my family and friends that aren't into scifi or comics loved the film. Wierd?

As someone who sees almost every comic book movie but only scratches the surface of actual comic books, Guardians has the edge for me. It's kind of apples and oranges given the tones of these films and how different they are, though. I guess I prefer oranges (goofy fun) to apples (a much more serious tone for Cap, aside from the kind-of-hilarious Nazi Supercomputer thing) in the sense that I see myself watching Guardians a few more times on home video. Cap is great, but it's the kind of movie I'll only see a few times. I'm just in the mood for pure entertainment more often than I am great serious filmmaking, though I love both.

I don't read comics at all, really.  All my Marvel knowledge comes from the movies and Marvel vs. Capcom games.  Both movies were fun.  The characters went to cool places and did cool stuff and it was entertaining.  That's all you need.

I enjoyed the movie a lot as well.  I must admit though, I hadn't heard of GOTG until rumors started circulating about it a couple of years back.  I still haven't read any of their comics, but that'll probably change soon.  I have a subscription to Marvel Unlimited and I'm catching up on certain haracters that I'm less familiar with.

For instance, I'm catching up on my knowledge of Ultron.  I always knew he was a robotic enemy of the Avengers, but I never really read any comics that involve him.  Next I'll start reading Age of Ultron.

Guardians is my favorite super hero movie so far. I saw it twice in the theater and if anyone else had asked, I'd have seen it again. I loved all the characters and the humor. The whole design of the movie was great too. I loved that you went into space and traveled to different planets and related things. The more scifi the better. I can't wait for this supposed Dr. Strange movie. If I can't go to space, the astral plane is ok too.

i thought the movie was far better than The Winter Soldier, and The Winter Soldier is probably my favorite Marvel Studios movie.

The soundtrack is KILLING IT...I bought it the day after I saw the movie.  It's good..but the use of the music in the movie far overshadows the compilation as a whole.

For 7 bucks on Google Play, it was an easy decision.

The music is classically brilliant xDarthKillx.

Yes it is!

Also, I have never heard of the Inhumans. I'd be curious to see what that's all about.
