That copy of Xenoblade was actually from a store called McKay, though. Most of my game shopping happens there, although a good number of games this time around came from Gamestop - mostly from the same transaction, wherein I used a discount coupon and renewed my membership thingey in such a way that it paid for itself.

McKay tends to stock a lot of things for super-cheap; I've seen Metroid: Zero Mission for six bucks, and the occasional uncommon NES game for two or three. Pac-Man World was "very scratched," hence its much lower price point. Seems to work fine, though.

Depends on the genre. As far as action titles, the boss music to Mega Man 3 still gives me the chills sometimes - probably my favorite track in that entire series (with the Shadow Man music being a close second.) The boss music in Kirby's Adventure from the penultimate fight - the one against that giant orb - is pretty spiffy, too, although you really need the sound effects to give it the full context.
For RPGs, I'm a big fan of the FF4 battle themes, as well as "An Earnest Desire of Grey" (final boss music) from Radiant Historia. The 8-bit version of the Dragon Quest 3 and 4 final boss themes are both pretty spiffy, too. Oh, and the turn-based battle music from the Magic of Scheherazade...

That was actually third on my list, waaaaay back in 2009 when I was just focusing on beating my NES collection - all 71 games of it - in alphabetical order. Didn't do the second quest, though.

I haven't played through it all the way, but I tested it out a long time ago and managed to land the plane on the first try in level 1. It can't possibly be worse than some of the other 3D flight combat games I've played - particularly Infiltrator (which I reviewed awhile back) and F-117A Stealth Fighter (which is in the queue of beaten games yet to be reviewed).

Huh... bizarre. Looks interesting, but I don't know if I could bring myself to play it through again. I scraped every last bit of gameplay out of that game, short of retiring every class and releveling to level 70 (although I did that for a few characters for the sake of extra skill points).

Amen to that! I was kind of hoping for something in the vein of Dragon Quest VIII - it's one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I don't trust party AI most of the time.

I've heard there's some good stuff on the 3DS, but I still need to do postgame of Etrian Odyssey II and all of III before even thinking about the fourth installment.
