Time Crisis: Razing Storm Hands On Preview

I made it a point to hunt down Time Crisis: Razing Storm at this year's E3.

As a fan and owner of the original three main-series Time Crisis games, when I heard Namco was launching a new Time Crisis title, I made sure to schedule some time to hunt down and play the game at E3. To my surprise, Namco-Bandai's booth didn't actually have the title available to play, so for the first two days of E3, I didn't manage to find the game. Then, on the last day, after playing the Little Big Planet 2 demo in Namco's booth, I happened to find a second set of Move-compatible games against the back wall, behind all the PS3 titles, almost as if they were hidden away. It turned out these titles were various third-party Move games, although it seemed all the reps available at the demo corresponded to each game's respective company.

Ys Seven Hands On Preview

The latest in the Ys series continues to improve the formula set in place many years ago.

Ys Seven is the first game developed specifically for the PSP by original developer Nihon Falcom. The team is continuing much of the progress they have made in the series by adding onto everything established in Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Hands On Preview

The one multiplayer mode I was able to try looked good, but the rest of the game is still a question mark.

After the fiasco that was Gerstmann-gate, I can't say that I bothered trying the original Kane & Lynch. This year at E3, I did get some hands-on time with the sequel's Cops and Robbers multiplayer mode.

APB Hands On Preview

Grand Theft Auto as an MMO produces mixed results.

After taking a few pictures with some alternative girls and receiving a complimentary T-Shirt, Chessa, Rob, and myself had the opportunity to play APB behind close doors. During my session, a developer guided me through my time as an Enforcer in the online beta which is currently active.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Hands On Preview

A smoother graphical presentation and solid mechanics make for an enjoyable play session on the show floor.

As Capcom revealed back at Captivate 2010, Marvel vs. Capcom is back for its third iteration, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. This time around, the focus seems to be strongly on character balance and a unified presentation.

Power Gig: Rise of the SixString Hands On Preview

Rock Band 3 isn't the only game integrating a real guitar into a music game.

If you had asked me prior to E3 what Power Gig: Rise of the SixString was, I would've looked at you in complete confusion. As I came to learn on the last day of the show, Power Gig is actually a music game, and similar to Rock Band 3, the game works in the use of a real-deal guitar.

Driver: San Francisco Hands On Preview

Players who have lost hope in the Driver series might want to look forward to taking it for another spin.

As time has gone on, the Driver series has become less and less relevant thanks to some sub par entries into the long running series. However, Ubisoft is trying their hardest to revamp the series and restore it to its once honorable position.

Ivy the Kiwi? Hands On Preview

Ivy the Kiwi? is also coming to DS, how does the concept carry over?

If you haven't read our Wii coverage on Ivy the Kiwi? yet, I strongly suggest you do. Essentially, Ivy the Kiwi? DS is no different from the Wii version aside from how you control it, and even that is mostly the same.

Ivy the Kiwi? Hands On Preview

Yuji Naka's latest effort may be simple, but it's extremely enjoyable.

As some of you may already know, I've had quite a bit of hands-on time with Ivy the Kiwi? thanks to my import copy of the Japanese title. You may also know that XSEED is bringing that title to America, with as far as I can tell, two simple but highly effective changes.

Monday Night Combat Preview

Tired of Football? Jump into the future of sports with Monday Night Combat!

Monday Night Combat, to me, looked like the best XBLA exclusive on the floor. While I didn't take personal hands-on time with the game, since it looked a little more complex, I watched a developer showcase the game, himself, rather than play it.
