Backloggers Anonymous Darksiders Part 3

We're done!

I'm gonna keep this brief because frankly, I'm not feeling so great. We finished Darksiders. We had more fun talking about it than we did with the back half of the game. We get into some pretty weird things to talk about like sound effects and... horse physics. Maybe my fever started earlier than I thought.

Oh, I did manage to find a monkey that pulled off the tough guy thing better than War, so there's that...

Tougher than War

Anyway, as we've already discussed, this is an out and out spolier 'cast, so make sure you've finished the game or given up on it before you listen to it. We pick up at the Ash Lands (the desert section) and play all the way through to the end. You have been warned!

One thing I fogot to mention and I feel horrible about, there's a zombie Mr. Peanut hidden in the game. I found him in two places, but apparently he has a few more appearances. He's actually pretty fun to fight as well, so hunt him down if you want to, and feel free to discuss him in the comments!

Also, suggestions! We do have the next two podcasts already planned out and will be playing Enslaved next, but we want to know what you want us to play. If you have any ideas, let us know, and if we think it's a good fit, will add it to our ever growing list of considerations for this podcast.

I quit this game not long ago.  I wasn't that interested in it to begin with.  I was planning to finish it, but once I got to the section with the teleporting stuff, I gave up.  I wasn't having that much fun and those puzzles were too much to go through for a game I wasn't going to play again.  I have better games on my backlog to get to.

Don't worry, you played the best of it. We ended up voicing a lot of similar stuff in the podcast.

I dug the hell out of Darksiders. That said, I've never finished it. I got to where you gave up and my PS3's HDD decided to take a dump, and I haven't had the desire to play through it again. Not because I didn't have fun doing it the first time, but because I really kinda resented the fact that I'd HAVE to. It's weird, sure, but that's me in a nutshell. I'm sure I'll go back and finish it someday. :P

I did just finish the PC version of Darksiders 2 though. It's a bit buggy, and a couple of times I thought that I was gonna have to start over because of that, but thankfully I was able to finish just fine. Had a blast doing it, too. :)

I understand that. Cool

The game starts off pretty strong, and it's really not that long. You can beat it in around 15 hours if you hustle. It's got a few flaws though like jgusw was saying. It's not something I felt was a waste of time to play, but not something I'd go out of my way to experience either. If you do decide to play it again though, try playing along with the podcasts. I'd love to get some feedback.
