We're done!

I'm gonna keep this brief because frankly, I'm not feeling so great. We finished Darksiders. We had more fun talking about it than we did with the back half of the game. We get into some pretty weird things to talk about like sound effects and... horse physics. Maybe my fever started earlier than I thought.

Ys Origin Review

A devastating tale of love lost… for a game reviewer.

It’s pretty heartbreaking when you are really enjoying a game only to have it all hit a breakneck stop and you just want it all to end already.  Such was my experience with Ys Origin - a prequel to the long running Ys series from Falcom that is finally available in English after first being released in Japan years ago.  I spent several hours mesmerized: loving the combat, wondering what would happen in the story, and considering if I would soon be buying other games in the series to satisfy my nascent Ys fandom.  Then, the game’s off-kilter balancing rammed me into a wall.  Then another.  And another.  Time after time, Ys Origin mires you in lengthy forced grinding situations, and that one fault is the game’s undoing.

Jet Set Radio Grinding Its Way Onto Vita

An updated version of the Dreamcast favorite is coming this summer.

Sega has confirmed that in addition to the previously revealed PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 ports of Jet Set Radio, PlayStation Vita owners will also be able to experience the Dreamcast classic for themselves. Currently, it has a release window of summer 2012. Those who would like to try the Vita version of the game will be able to at E3 2012, where it will be playable on the show floor.

Lollipop Chainsaw Preview

Don't tell this cheerleader that zombies are overexposed.

Suda 51 has never produced what one would call a ‘normal’ game.  Pairing odd subject manner with hyper-stylized aesthetic in games like Killer 7, No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned, the fruits of the famed developer’s labor have struggled to find any kind of sizable audience.  Perhaps it makes sense then that Suda’s next game, Lollipop Chainsaw, while sporting a strange title and a concept that may still be considered a departure from the norm, is his most mainstream title yet.

Lollipop Chainsaw Releasing on June 12 in America, June 15 in Europe

A recent trade event has revealed the news.

During a special trade event tonight, it was revealed by publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment that Lollipop Chainsaw now has an official release date. The Grasshopper Manufacture-developed game is set to release on June 12 in America, with the European version coming just three days later for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Jet Set Radio Receives Summer Release Date on XBLA, PSN, PC

A contest for 18 new pieces of in game art was also announced.

As previously revealed, Jet Grind Radio (or rather Jet Set Radio) is going to see a return with a port of the original. We now know that's to a post on Sega's blog that an HD version of the tagging classic will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC this summer.

Sega Announces The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut

The extended cut will feature new content, 3D, and Move support for the PS3 this October.

On their blog, Sega announced today that The House of the Dead: Overkill will be making its way to the PlayStation 3 in a special Extended Cut edition. The new version of the game will feature a few improvements over the original Wii version of the game, specifically support for the PlayStation Move controller, improved visuals and support for stereoscopic 3D, and two new scenarios beyond the original seven levels of the first game. Players will be able to grab the game this fall, on October 25.
