Favorites were definitely "Phendrana Drifts" (already one of my favorites) and "Toad Story" as far as the relaxation theme. I was not expecting Rayman Legends to have something like that.

I was expecting Journey to have something like "Nascene," and enjoyed that as well. And "House of Cards" was repetitive (which all songs are, I simply noticed the same phrase more often in that one), but in a way that really was nice and soothing.

"Lower Brinstar" I asociate more with quiet tension, and the other two from PoP 2008 and Ragnarok Online had more "epic/start-of-adventure" qualities to me, but at the same time, I can see how all three would be relaxing, they just don't have that effect on me, personally.

What are you studying?

Yeah, idk. I suppose this list was more personal, as these are the songs that help me relax, or think but I agree with your opinions as well. That said, I think we can agree that all these songs are pretty great, or at least I'd hope so, lol.

Anyway, I'm studying PCM, with a focus on Journalism for obvious reasons. I also am self teaching myself Script Writing and Creative Writing as far as game design goes.

What is PCM? All I get with a search is pulse-code modulation, which I can see how that would be used in video games, being a form of digital audio, but I'm not sure I exactly follow.

And like I said, I can see how all these would be relaxing, those little nuances that make me think differently come down to personal taste, but we can agree that they are all good songs. Smile

Professional Communications. My school calls it PCM for short. xD

This actually made my day, loved every song.  Specifically lower brinstar, so beautiful.  Thank you.

What, no Chrono Cross? The whole soundtrack almost is relaxing and beautiful. That's what I listen to when I want to relax. Good picks though.

Sooooo, what happened to this episode? I finally have a chance to listen to it but the download and RSS feed links both take me to the 404 not found page and the little player under them won't play Frown

We had a bit of a problem this morning and lots of stuff just vanished from the server.

We're currently working on restoring everything and should have the vast majority of it up later... very sorry about this.

Oh okay. Yeah, I tried to check my messages before going to work this morning and my browser couldn't find the PixlBit server. Must have been when it was happening. No worries, just best of luck getting everything back up.

I didn't find the first song all that relaxing, though it was a good song in its own right. I especially love Phendrana Drifts, but Metroid Prime is my favorite game so I'm a little biased lol. And props for the Baten Kaitos love. That game is sorely underrated (even though it does have atrocious voice acting lol)
