While at E3, I Met Someone Special

Wahoo!

Yes, indeed. While I waited in the Zelda line at E3 this past year, Charles Martinet showed up!

Sure, I know he's a man that pops up at E3 just about every year, and yes, I know that the previous year, Nick and Chessa actually got the chance to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii with the man, but this time, in particular, he was there to meet and greet people. While I was in line, I saw him autograph game inserts, call someone in Mario's voice, and more.

I didn't have anyone in particular in mind to call, nor did I have any game inserts for him to sign, so instead, I asked, naturally for an autograph. In fact, the only thing I had on me was my card, so I had to live with a little signature on the back of that! Likewise, he made one out to PixlBit and it's readers that I gave to Nick, so you'll have to look for him to upload the picture of that some time. Chris popped up pretty soon after that, and got a picture snapped with the video game celebrity. Indeed, he was much cooler and collected around Mr. Martinet than he was Jamie Lee Curtis, for whatever reason. If he had any autographs made out to him after that, I can't recall the event, so you'll all have to bug him about it.

Anyway, without further ado, feast your eyes on this bad boy:

I want Charles Martinet to come to Toronto next year for FanExpo, just so I could get him to sign stuff, and listen to him speak about his life as Mario and whatnot.

Yeah, Charles Martinet is a real cool guy - super nice. As Jason said, Chessa and I played NSMBWii with him on the show floor, and he signed a Wii Sports Resort frisbee for Chessa.

I also had the pleasure of hanging out with him and Cammie Dunaway at the Nintendo party last E3 as well. She was also very nice, and Martinet was fun to just hang out. Aaron Kaluszka from NWR seemed to know him pretty well, so he hung around with the whole NWR crew for quite a while.
