I'm not really into too many podcasts, though I do enjoy talk radio quite a bit. My best recommendations for now are to listen to all the PixlBit podcasts! We're trying to schedule another PixlTalk now, so there's that, but more importantly you can get a regular dose of Nerds Without Pants and Backloggers Anonymous, as well as PB & Jason which is now being alternately hosted by Jason Ross and Chris Iozzi.

I keep up on NWP and Backloggers here at the site, I always keep up on the Giantbombcast, Rebel FM, and Idle Thumbs as well.

One of the non-gaming podcasts I really love is a sci-fi and fantasy book club called Sword & Laser. They have a monthly book club that the hosts and community participate together in, they talk about all the news and releases in both sci-fi and fantasy books, and do interviews with authors as well. It's where I've been getting most of my recent book recommendations.

I think that the Alton Browncast is amazing.  Especially if you love food, but he talks to other people as well.

ACE Podcast was my favorite, but I haven't listened recently.  Nerds Without Pants I listen to somewhat regularly, and I like Iozzi's PB&J edition. I'll look out for PixlTalk and Backloggers Anonymous and I may even start sneaking into our Production Rooms and making a podcast of my own.

I think now that I know of the Adam carolla/Dr. Drew show thanks to goaztecs as you mention in your blog, that may become my new favorite. Listening to Loveline on 97.1 The Eagle late at night was one of my favorite things to do in junior high.

The Nerdist podcast is great. One of my favs is the one where they have the voice actors for Bender and Fry from Futurama.

If you go back about 5-6 years, you'll hear me on a couple different Radio Free Nintendo episodes lol.

Nice! Where you on any of the anniversary/special number episodes (50, 100, 200, 300)? I like those because they focused on a particular system/platform but they would be the earliest episodes I've listened to.

I think I was on 3 or 4 episodes somewhere around #100. I wasn't on any of the landmark ones, just subbed in here or there as a special guest. I wrote for NWR over the course of 2008-2009, so if the episode is before or after that, there's no chance I'm on it.

Truthfully, I didn't really like being on the show. It's very tough to jump into a group who is used to talking with one another. They have a rhythm and they know each other's tells well enough to speak up at the right time. They didn't really give me an inch to speak, so I don't say much or sounded awkward jumping in mid-conversation.

Just started listening to Dan & Kat Talk. It's Dan Amrich and his wife Kat who were doing OneOfSwords for Activision just a few months ago before Dan got a new job at Harmonix, the original makers of Guitar Hero and now Dance Central and Rock Band.

I've been following Dan since he was at The Official Xbox Magazine and doing KOXM with Ryan McCaffrey who is now doing IGN's Podcast Unlocked.

Dan & Kat Talk is really fun. They interview one of their friends in the industry that does cool geeky stuff and then perform a little radio play with them called Chance Fortran Tech Therapist that's really funny. Sometimes Dan performs a song at the end of that too. I'm loving it.

MY favorites are:

The Joe Rogan Experience: Very cool Podcast about random interesting stuff. I suggest you listen to the one's with Aubry Marcos, Jason Silva, Duncan Trussell.

IGN's Podcast including Game Scoop, Podcast Beyond, Nintendo Voice Chat and Podcast Unlocked. Funny and entertaining gaming podcasts.

 4Player Podcast: Entertaining gaming Podcast.

DVDASA listen to the Rambling of "The Richest Artist in the World" David Choe and his eclectic crew. Very funny and NSFW.

Nerd Poker: It's a D&D campaign with friend that just happen to be stand up comics, comic book artist and Geek celebrities kinda. I suggest you start from the beginning. I have never played D&D and this podcast makes me wish I had.

Smodcast and Smodcast FEaB: Smodcast is Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier and FEaB is Scott Mosier and Matt Miara both funny in their own way.

Ten Minute Podcast:  It's a ten minute recess for adults with Bryan Callen, Chris Delia and Will Sasso all three are stand up comics.

Rebel FM: Video game and sometimes relationship talk with Anthony Gallegos formerly from 1UP ,IGN and now in Zombie studios, Arthur Gies formerly from IGN and now at Polygon, and Matt Chandronait formerly from 1UP and now still with Area5.

The Comedy Button: This podcast used to be The Gamespy Debriefing  if you can go check those out when Anthony Gallegos, Brian Altano and Ryan Scott took over comedy genius. In the Comedy Button they have added Scott Bromly and Max Scoville. Funny and horrible comedy podcast.

The Geekbox: A geeky podcast with Ryan Scott and his friends. Entertaining most of the time.

8-4 Play Podcast: A Japanes gaming Podcast with ex 1UP editors that got into the industry by translating games such as Monster Hunter 3, Fire Emblem Awakening and helping with Mighty No9.

VGmpire: A videogame music podcast. Each episode has a theme such as a series of games like Final Fantasy and Zelda series or to a specific game music composer.

DLC Podcast: Cool gaming podcast where the focus is in general gaming from video, tabletop, card and any other you can think of. Jeff Cannatta formaly of Weekend Confirmed is the host.

The Drunkest Taoist: This is Author, Jiujitsu black belt and professor Daniele Bolelli's Podcast. A Podcast to help you along with your day

The Duncan Trussel Family Hour: Interviews with a range of people. Very entertaining. The one that is a must listen is the one where he talks with his mom before she dies.

Golden Saucer Podcast: Three friends talking about their week in gaming and just general stuff. The comradery between them for some reason keeps me listening to them.

I'm really enjoying Sound Opinions, a music podcast, right now. I just listened to an interview with Rob Reiner about Spinal Tap and an interview with a writer of a new book about New Wave music.
