Alrighty then! I've had trouble getting into Mario games; however, I have been pulled in by the role-playing ones and plan on playing every single one of them. This thread is for all the Mario role-playing games. I shall list them here:

Super Mario RPG
Paper Mario
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Super Paper Mario
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

I'll add any new ones as they come out. Maybe I missed one? Let me know.

So talk on!

I just got past Grubba in Glitz city in Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. What a fantastic game this is! I love that you have an audience when you do battle, and have to watch out for them throwing objects at you. This game throws so many unexpected things at you to great effect. I'm just stunned at the artistry, creativity, and all around great entertainment this game is. Bravo Nintendo! You've shown your best on this title. I see why you're still so revered by fans everywhere.

I have the GBA Mario & Luigi. I need to go back and play it some more. I also need to finish Inside Story. I tend to lose steam in these games. Never beat one. Though I came close in Thousand Year Door before I had to return it to my sister.

I have only beaten RPG and Superstar Saga. I think they're the best!

Ha, I view SMRPG on an entirely different level from the others. I have beaten that one multiple times. I would love for a true sequel to somehow come out down the road. Pity Nintendo couldn't just buy the rights/characters from Square so we can actually have Geno and Mallow appear in other Nintendo titles.

@ Nick Dimola: Thanks. What was a I thinking. Gotta include the M&L games.

I've now completed Chapter 5 in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door and have played just over 30 hours. I had to repec my badges to beat Cortez. I lost the first time but came back strong the second time.

Thousand Year Door is great but sadly Super Paper Mario isn't an RPG

Ah well, I guess there's nothing to talk about with that one then. I'm going to try it anyway.

Finished up with Paper Mario TYD after 50 hours of gameplay. I got to nearly the end of Chapter 7 with one chapter left to go. I'm off to play Child of Light, but I'll be back to it sometime. What a great time I had with this game though. A great RPG through and through. Possibly a tad on the easy side I think but a few of those bosses gave me a little trouble. Not much though. I only really lost once against Cortez.

Been replaying Superstar Saga, forgot how much I love this game. Just nails the Mario universe so perfectly while adding so much to it and giving really fun combat.

i like it too, but I'm kind of stuck at the end.  I got frustrated and haven't played it for a week.

Iirc, many people want Geno in Smash Bros, but Sakurai hates the character. Sigh
