Sega Reveals Dreamcast Collection Titles

An underwhelming set of four that will all be available via digital download anyway.

Yesterday, Sega revealed the titles to be released on their upcoming Dreamcast Collection title. The disc, meant to be a revival of the beloved system, is set to house a mere four titles. These four titles are games that have already been released or scheduled for release on XBLA and PSN.

On February 22 in America and February 25 in Europe, players will be able to purchase Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, and Space Channel 5 Part 2 as the Dreamcast Collection for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Excluded from the collection are numerous classic titles, like Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, Power Stone, and Skies of Arcadia. At this time, it's unknown if Sega will continue to release Dreamcast classics beyond these four titles.

Those interested in all four titles will be able to get the collection for $29.99, a $10 savings if all titles were bought digitally.

Since I never played Space Channel 5 (though I have listened to the music a lot), I'll wait for the download to appear on Live Arcade. The rest... not so much.

Yet the fact that Power Stone isn't one of the games makes me a sad panda. =(
