An Announcement From Nick and Chessa

Click through for a quick audio update.

As you may have noticed, things have been a bit slow on PixlBit as of late, and Chessa has nearly disappeared. I promise, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of it!

Our little man at home, only 24 hours old.
Warm and cozy at 48 hours old.
Two weeks old after his first bath.
The first smile caught on film at three weeks old.
Chillin' with Daddy at six weeks old.
Going for a ride at seven weeks old.
Enjoying his first Valentine's Day, one day short of eight weeks.

... and this is why I'm excited about a Sesame Street video game. Funny how things change when you become a parent...

Anyway, that's our little guy. We will surely be exploiting him to up the cute quotient on the site, especially when he's old enough to talk and play simple games.

That is an unusually good looking baby. Good work.

Congratulations!

Maybe I just don't know enough about babies, but you waited 2 weeks to give him a bath? Wasn't the after-birth starting to funk up the place?

Aww! He's so cute!

@vudu

Haha, he actually did get a bath within an hour of being born. Beyond that, up to his first bath, he got cleaned up with a wash cloth. Because of the lingering piece of umbilical cord attached to the belly button, babies can't have their first official bath until that falls off.

Anyway, thanks everyone!

Official congratulations Nick and Chessa!!!

And of course we could come do a playbit! Babysitting I'm sure is the secret forte we've never discovered. I'm sure there's going to be some augmented reality game on the 3DS that will require Pixlbit staff participation.

But I'm glad everything is going well.

Hey, don't sign me up for babysitting without talking to me first! As far as playbits go, who knows what will happen in the future, but as of now, sticking Chris with baby-sitting duties would have to be the only way to go.

In reality, Chris and I have tossed the idea back and forth, but we've never taken a good look at trying to do any sort of Playbit setup. Additionally, I'd prefer to try to broadcast via capture card or something similar, so we wouldn't be taking grainy-ish video of a screen, which would likely mean more to post-broadcast viewers, since they wouldn't be able to talk with us at the same time.

If anyone has some recommendation of how to make that work well, send an email my way, and maybe we'll get something done. Maybe. But as of now, without that, chances are we won't add a playbit to our arsenal.

Back to the point, though: A public congrats to Nick and Chessa, I'm glad the new Nick has been a joy for both of you.
