FlingSmash and Wii Play Owners Offered Chance to Purchase Wii Play: Motion Without the Wii Remote Plus.

The offer seems to only be available to those who have registered at least one of the two games on Club Nintendo.

Earlier today, PixlBit's site director received an email from Nintendo offering him an opportunity to purchase a Wii Remote Plus-less version of Wii Play: Motion. Why? Club NIntendo's records indicate he has previously registered Wii Play or FlingSmash, titles that both include a form of the Wii Remote.

The program seems to have already begun, so those who've sat on registration codes for either Wii Remote-pack in title may have missed out. How does it work? Nintendo sends the offer, along with a redemption code. The email prompts its recipient to visit the disc-only Wii Play: Motion page of Nintendo's online store. Upon clicking the "Buy Now" button, shoppers are taken to their cart, and are prompted to enter the promotional code needed to buy the game sans Wii Remote Plus.

The sequel to the enormously successful Wii Play is normally bundled with Motion Plus (required for play) for $49.99 and is on sale now.

The promotional code given to Nick is "C8BML3UXQRZGDP."

The three of us who posted the article don't intend to pay $30 for the game that is essentially $10 with a packed-in Wii Remote Plus, so we decided we'd share it with the world. Will it work for more than one person? We have no idea. Feel free to give it a shot if you are interested.

An extra note: Wal-Mart says they're only selling Wii Play: Motion online, and GameStop was sold out. Will this thing be hard to find? Seriously? Yeah, it might be. Bizarre.
