Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Announced

Get all the DLC in one place in this new edition.

Mortal Kombat was rebooted last year to both critical and commercial accolade.  Following the launch was a steady supply of DLC that included new skins, fatalities and fightersmost notable of which was the original dream stalker Freddy Krueger.  Now that the DLC train has run its course, Warner Bros. has decided to make the entire Mortal Kombat package available to consumers via the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition.

Announced today, the Komplete Edition contains the full game augmented with every little ounce of DLC previously released.  Additionally the game comes packed with digital downloads of the 2011 release of Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album and the 1995 Mortal Kombat film.  Both can be accessed via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Zune.

The packaged DLC includes additional characters Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and the previously mentioned Freddy Krueger, 15 “Klassic Skins” and three “Klassic Fatalities.”

The Komplete Edition will hit store shelves on February 28, 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The soundtrack is a sweet bonus for sure. I'll stick to my ridiculously expensive Scorpion and Sub Zero bookends, though.
