The portable device will see release this year in Japan.

Similar to the original DSi, Nikkei news has revealed the latest iteration of the the DSi. The system will feature much larger screens, 4" each, a .75" increase from the current DSi Model.

Nikkei claims that this model will retail for the same amount as the current DSi model (18900 yen), but is targeted at an older crowd who has trouble seeing on the smaller screens.

The system will release this year in Japan, with talks of a worldwide release. Currently, Nintendo of America has not commented on the news, so it's unknown if it will release in America.

Nintendo World Report has produced a size comparison that also depicts the image quality across all three DS screens.
