Ubisoft Not Publishing No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise in North America

The company confirmed that it has no plans of publishing the PS3 and Xbox 360 port of No More Heroes.

Ubisoft, the US publisher of the No More Heroes games has confirmed to G4 that they currently have no plans to publish the recently announced No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise is a port of the original No More Heroes which was released on Wii in 2008.

While Ubisoft has not confirmed why they are not publishing the title, they still plan to publish No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for Wii in January 2010 in North America.

I would publish it if I were Ubisoft. How expensive could this property be?

Although, it could be that it's going to go gold AFTER No More Heroes 2 is released, so they would have to lead essentially two marketing campaigns, when, had it been developed earlier, they'd just lead one for the ports and the Wii sequel.

I agree, thatguy. I was telling Luke that I find it unlikely that they won't. They played this same stupid game with the second one, and come E3, look who's publishing!

Regardless, if they don't publish it, someone else will. Also, I don't find that this version looks all that much better than the Wii version, which makes it significantly less attractive to me since I would be losing the motion control.

I do have hope that after it releases on the PS3, it's patched to have motion controls. Hell they could probably program that in now, and have it just unlock when the new controller drops.
