Skate 3 Demo Now Available

The demo for the latest sequel in EA's Skate series is now on Xbox LIVE and PSN.

EA has announced Skate 3!'s demo is now available for download on both Xbox LIVE and the Playstation Network. Players looking for a preview of the game will find several of the title's modes available, from Skate School to the Object Dropper, with all sorts of challenges like Domination, Own the Lot, and Hall of Meat, in-between.

For those interested in the series that game with friends, some of the challenges in the demo are multiplayer, and for those interested in the series that network with friends, EA has announced a contest centered around FaceBook and the demo: The Film to Win Skate 3 Demo Contest. Winners of the competition will receive a trip for three to see the Maloof Mooney Cup in New York City, and $1000 in prize money.

SKATE 3 Demo Ready to Shred

Team up and throw down with SKATE 3! Players can sample the ultimate skateboarding experience with the SKATE 3 demo, available as a free download on Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace and PlayStation®Network. The demo let’s player’s attend Skate School with Coach Frank, lay down the perfect line in the University District, try out the Object Dropper as well as take on a series of single and multiplayer challenges including Domination, Own the Lot, and the bone-crushing Hall of Meat.

As an added bonus, players can in the Film to Win SKATE 3 Demo contest by capture their most epic skate lines participate people that play the demo and most gnarly bails. Fans must upload their videos to www.facebook.com/Skate in order to be eligible to win a variety of prizes including an all-expense (flights and hotel) paid trip for three to see the Maloof Money Cup in June in New York City, along with $1000 spending cash. SKATE 3 hits retailers in North America on May 11th, 2010 and worldwide on May 14th, 2010 and is available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. Take a look at the first sentence of the second paragraph of the press release we posted...

I think some of the words from the first half of the sentence somehow got mixed into the second half, but I can't be sure.

Regardless, I like the idea of a contest based on the demo. It definitely sounds like a great way to build up hype on the game.
