Wii Remote Plus Revealed By Gamestop

It appears that the Wii Remote is being produced complete with Wii MotionPlus inside.

A listing for Nintendo's upcoming title FlingSmash on Gamestop's website has revealed box art depicting a new peripheral packaged with the game.

The Wii Remote Plus seemingly combines the function of the Wii Remote and the Wii MotionPlus into a single peripheral that appears to be the same size as a standard Wii Remote.

While not officially announced by Nintendo, the box art featured on Gamestop's website appears to be genuine. Given the lack of release information, we can only say that the peripheral will be available for sure on November 7 in North America when FlingSmash is released.

The combination of peripheral and game is currently listed at $49.99. This is the same price as a standard bundle of Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus, making FlingSmash essentially free, assuming the price point is indeed accurate.

Correction: The current Wii Remote + Wii MotionPlus bundle is $49.99, not $54.99 as previously stated in the article.

My interest in Fling Smash just increased ten fold.

It was already a must-buy for me. At E3, it was simple but a lot of fun.

Yeah this was a really cool game. I didn't play it this year at E3, but the year before, and I enjoyed it greatly then.

This Wii Remote Plus is the right idea, I'm glad that Nintendo finally made one. It seemed like an obvious direction from the beginning, and I wonder what the reasoning behind waiting till now was to actually make it.

I'm kind of surprised Nintendo didn't make this back when they started bundling the Motion Plus with every Wii Remote, it would have saved them money on manufacturing costs. Can you even buy a Wii Remote without it anymore?

The Wii Remote and Motion Plus bundle is already $50, so this makes the game practically free. That makes me wonder what price the stand-alone game will be.
