Dungeon Defenders Delayed to 2011

The upcoming title from Trendy Entertainment is being pushed back due to unforeseen issues.

A recent post on the Trendy Entertainment forums by studio lead, Jeremy Stieglitz, indicates that their upcoming title is being delayed till January 2011.

The delay is due to "certain parties requiring platform launch windows & requirements to do a simultaneous launch." While not explicitly stated, from our knowledge of the Xbox 360 development structure, it's likely the game has a wait time before being approved by Microsoft. As such, all versions of the game are being held in order to launch across all platforms simultaneously.

In the meantime, the studio is hard at work on a variety of new content to include in the final product. Two new DLC maps have already been completed as have several item packs, and new enemies all of which will now be rolled into the initial release of the game.

For those who purchase the game on a platform other than XBLA, the first month of DLC will be available for free. This DLC will include at least one additional level and a new hero class.

Those who can't wait for their Dungeon Defender fix can grab the iPhone or Android version of the game come mid-December.

Me too. PixlBit's own Jason Hillhouse actually worked on this title!
