Farewell to the Wii: The Channels

A unique user interface that stood the test of time and provided some fresh ideas about content on a game console.

Now that we’re just waiting around for our Wii U pre-orders to be fulfilled, we’ve started thinking back on our Wii experience. There were great games and there were stupid, gimmicky games.  There was the much maligned 480p output and the long wait for external storage.  There were also the channels.

Rabbids Go Home Review

A fantastic beginning to the Rabbids life outside of minigame collections.

Up until recently, the Rabbids have been curiously eccentric characters that spawned out of the Rayman universe. Their trademark goofy looks, silly behavior, and recognizable scream has made them somewhat of an icon to gamers, even if many have never picked up the mini-game collections they have starred in. Well, for anyone looking to take part in the Rabbids experience themselves but are averse to shallow mini-game experiences, Rabbids Go Home is the answer to your prayers. Although the game’s basis is simple, Rabbids Go Home provides a crazy romp through unique levels with the insane little creatures. You’re guaranteed to be laughing from beginning to end no matter how much you try to avoid it.

Rabbids Go Home Preview

Avoid playing this game commando.

Rabbids Go Home is Ubisoft's latest addition to the Rayman Raving Rabbids series. It follows the plight of the Rabbids as they search for wherever it is they came from. Without any concrete evidence of their origin, they agree that the moon is their home and the only way to get there is by creating an enormous pile of garbage in order to reach it. The Wii version has the player control a pair of Rabbids with a shopping cart as they collect as much junk as they can.
