Torrance, Calif., (August 2, 2010) – XSEED Games is pleased to announce today that Ys SEVEN has gone gold and will begin shipping to retailers across North America on August 17th, exclusively for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. The standard edition of Ys SEVEN will be available for a suggested retail price of $29.99, and a Limited Collector’s Edition which includes a soundtrack CD, 60-page art book and a 12.5” x 34” cloth map highlighting the expansive world of the Ys series will be available for the suggested retail price of $49.99 through Amazon.com, GameStop, and other fine retailers. A digital download version of the game will also be available on the PlayStation®Store starting August 17th for a retail price of $29.99. Developed by Falcom, Ys SEVEN marks the first installment in the Ys series that XSEED Games will publish under a multi-title agreement with Falcom, one of the longest-running development studios in Japan, who have been a pioneer of the RPG genre since their first release in 1983. Ys SEVEN is the first iteration of the legendary series to be built specifically for the PSP system.
