Duck Hunt Review Rewind

A game that involves some serious fowl play.

Duck Hunt is an interesting relic of times past and one that I have conflicting feelings about.  While it was my earliest NES memory and no doubt fun from what I can remember, it also hasn't aged quite as well as I would have hoped.  But sometimes, that's just how it goes with the games we played as children.  I suppose the biggest letdown is realizing that the game simply isn't as stimulating to me as it once was, mostly due to its limited nature.  At its core, you're just shooting the same objects round after round until you fail to reach the required quota.  Be that as it may, Duck Hunt's importance in Nintendo's history cannot be overlooked.

Tour de 64: Duck Dodgers starring Daffy Duck

Duck and cover!

Not about to let Disney's Donald Duck hog all the fame and fortune, Daffy Duck starred in his own Nintendo 64 platformer as well. DuckTales Remastered Review

As far as remakes go, it's one of the better ones despite a few flaws.

I wouldn’t blame you if the words “Disney” and “video game” made you frown. After the 16-bit days, the quality of Disney Interactive’s titles took a huge nose-dive, which is a real shame as some of my favorite video games from this era were Disney titles. However, these titles were created by either Capcom or Virgin Interactive. After nearly twenty odd years (and no Virtual Console release), Capcom decided to task Wayforward with remaking their first and most legendary NES Disney title: DuckTales. As far as remastered titles go, does it fall in the same trap as most HD remasters go, or is it a worthy remake of the NES cult classic?
