What has a bear, a beard, two-legged mechs, and flies? Iron Brigade: Rise of the Martian Bear.

Last year, I praised and criticized Double Fine's Trenched before it received a new name. My verdict? It played and worked well, but didn't offer enough variety and versatility to last as long as a proper tower defense game should. Fortunately, Rise of the Martian Bear provides a lot of content, weapons, and towers that resolve many of the issues the original Iron Brigade faced.

UMD Passport Won't Be Available to US Vita Owners

UMDs are only good for the PSP now.

Sony before had mentioned that physical copies of PSP games would be available to Vita owners for a fee. Dubbed the UMD Passport, some, not all, PSP games will be available at a discount if you previously purchased the UMD. Except that it won't after all.

Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword Review

If you're browsing the eShop, you should probably avoid games with samurai in them.

Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword is the latest game to take use of Japan's rich lore. Despite the setting, the game's tale is standard Nintendo fare - players are on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess. As a young samurai, your quest is split into a number of levels that consist of nothing more than a variety of encounters with a handful of enemy types. The characters and setting imbue a definite degree of charm and personality, but it's squandered by the shallow, repetitive, and boring gameplay.

NeverDead Review

Despite sounding great on paper, NeverDead fails in its execution.

I don’t even know which direction to start ripping NeverDead to pieces from first. From the uneven repetitive combat to the unbearably frustrating “health” system, this action game is an absolute disaster.
