Micro-gaming coming to Nintendo's next system.
Project P-100 wasn’t the only Wii U title that Nintendo chose not to reveal at their E3 conference. A new WarioWare game is on the way to the new console in the form of Game & Wario, a Wii U launch title.
Nintendo was holding back at their conference, it appears.
Platinum Games - developers of Bayonetta, Madworld and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance - unveiled their first foray onto the Nintendo Wii U in the tentatively titled Project P-100. The game was demoed live on Spike TV shortly after the conclusion of Nintendo’s E3 press conference.
The game seeks to impress with its unique touch screen functionality.
Ubisoft's E3 press conference yesterday brought a formal introduction to Michel Ancel's Rayman Origins sequel, Rayman Legends. The game has been confirmed for the Wii U and will utilize the controller's touch screen capabilities, as well as the gyro and motion sensors. Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the title currently appears to be exclusive to Nintendo's new system.
Sony's latest will debut with a special book/game from JK Rowling.
During last night's Sony presentation, the company lifted the veil on their latest work, Wonderbook. Using this generic AR marker, players will be able to read books on the screen and interact with the book in unique ways. The Wonderbook appears to be a platform of sorts as it will host a variety of different books, first and most notably, Book of Spells from JK Rowling.
Microsoft is teaming up with Virgin Gaming later this year.
Virgin and Microsoft are joining forces to bring online gaming tournaments to Xbox Live. There will be a variety of different tournaments, Virgin promises, including both free-to-play and paid-entry tournaments, some of which will offer cash prizes.
