Rumors surfaced last week about GameStop planning to sell voucher cards for the PC platform, Steam. Pictures of the cards surfaced on the Internet, but Gamestop nor Valve offered an official comment on the rumor. A press release yesterday validated the rumors, confirming that GameStop now carries pre-paid Steam cards for quantities of $20 and $50.

The next mainline games being released (Pokémon White Version 2 and Pokémon Black Version 2) were announced in February and many were shocked that they were destined for the DS platform instead of the newer 3DS. We have now received word from Nintendo that 3DS owners will be able to augment their Pokémon Black/White Version 2 games with the eShop exclusive title: Pokémon Dream Radar. Additionally, an exhaustive version of the free Pokédex 3D application will be available for purchase in the eShop – Pokédex 3D Pro – that will contain every Pokémon from the property’s enormous catalog.

Avernum: Escape the Pit is in love with the '90s. In fact, it’s so in love with the '90s that every copy of the game should come with a flannel shirt, a can of Crystal Pepsi, and Nevermind on CD. Spiderweb Software has created a new game that feels old, not unlike what Capcom did with Mega Man 9 and 10. To gamers that cut their teeth on games like Ultima and Baldur’s Gate this is fantastic news, as games like this simply don’t get made very often anymore. For gamers such as me who were weaned on consoles and people under the age of 30, this game is a total head scratcher.
