Pre-Nintendo E3 Hype

Nintendo E3 2015 Bingo Card

Hey Pixlbit, how's it been?  As you've been aware these past few years, I love E3. I watch E3 purely for Nintendo. 99.99% of that is only for Nintendo, as the other 1% is for other announcements. I'm excited for what Nintendo might show, and like every year, the hype and speculation is big. Alot of things leak before official announcements at the press conferences, and  even though you want it to be a surprise, it's hard to be surprised when the leaks themselves are all over the place. I know, I've seen plenty of rumored things these past few years. You want to ignore them, but curiosity gets the better of you. Except this year. I haven't read any leaks so far, plus catching up on handheld games helps. So this year will be surprising for me. So as I do every year, I'll be posting about my Nintendo E3 predictions and wishes. So all aboard the hype train!

Predictions:

Star Fox Wii U

Star Fox Wii U: Lets get this one out of the way first. This one isn't much of a prediction as Nintendo has said it themselves that it will finally be shown this year. Its been a long time since we've had a new Star Fox game, and hopefully all this time means we'll hopefully get a game better or just as good as Star Fox 64(3D). And hopefully we get more that just an image of Miyamoto playing the game, because maybe you guys might be tired of that image, but just for a bit longer.

A release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Nintendo has been tight-lipped about Xenoblade X, all we've gotten is a 9 minute video on it and a tentative 2015 release. It's out in Japan at the moment, but I know it's really hard bringing a game overseas, especially when you have to translate a 300 hour game. Hopefully it wont be too long cause I really wanna try those transforming mechs.

More Amiibo: Nintendo's current cash cow and it's making them more money than any of their hardware and software. Everyone wants them, and Nintendo knows this too, so I can see them showing more info on Wave 5. I can also see them showing off a new series of amiibo figures. Perhaps a Zelda one or a Star Fox one with new game to be shown. What I would love to see instead is Nintendo getting their act together with these things. It's ridiculous and I can see it only getting worse if Nintendo doesn't fix this.

More Fatal Frame and SMT X FE news: I can definitely see Nintendo showing more news on these games as well as a possible release date. I'm really interested in both so hopefully we see more.

Platinum Games: I've read that they have been retweeting Nintendo's stuff for E3 I think. While that could mean as something as simple as a retweet, what if they're going to show something during Nintendo's presentation? Who knows, but it could happen.

3DS and "New" 3DS games: If the "New" 3DS shows anything, is that Nintendo isn't finished with the 3DS yet. We'll most likely see more 3DS games, and hopefully some software for the "New" 3DS, cause so far it only has Xenoblade Chronicles going for it. It's a great game, but I don't want it to be the only game for it.

Kirby

Mario Kart 8 dlc: Nintendo isn't new to this dlc thing, they've been doing it for years with Pokemon. I remember when I first saw the image of Link in MK8, I thought it was fake, but it was real and it was awesome. Nintendo said they are planning to release more dlc, I love the dlc for Mario Kart, so sign me up. I hope they add more characters from other characters. I'd love to see Samus, she can be in her Power/Varia Suit in a kart, and in her Zero Suit in a bike. My brother wants Kirby, and apparently so does the internet. He's a perfect fit and it would really make him happy.

SSB 3DS/Wii U dlc: We've gotten Mewtwo so far, and Lucas is due this sunday. Nintendo said they plan on releasing more dlc, so it's very likely that they'll show more or a teaser of who else is going to Smash.

Splatoon dlc: I haven't gotten a chance to try it, but I've been hearing that it's a mess of fun. Nintendo will probably announce more dlc.

More Nintendo Remakes: Rumor has it that Nintendo plans to release more remakes, I'm welcome to the idea because there's lots of games that I want Nintendo to remake. I'd love to see an HD remake of Super Mario 64 with more better/precise controls and maybe Twilight Princess.

More info on New Fire Emblem game: I can see them showing more of the new 3DS FE game. Maybe an estimated release date.

New Nintendo Rewards program: Nintendo could use this opportunity to show us what they have in store for Club Nintendo's replacement thing with Dena.

Yoshi's Wooly World release date: This is one title Nintendo was keen on not showing more info of. But it seems like it might release soon in Japan. Maybe we'll get a release date.

Mario Maker: I can see this getting a release date, and I really want to make my own Mario levels, so it should be fun. It's also looking like a better anniversary game than the All-Stars game disc on the Wii.

Something from Next Level Games: Besides Retro Studios, Next Level Games is another developer Nintendo trusts with its IP's. Plus Nintendo probably trusts them alot since they've made Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. That's the closest thing to Mario, and it's almost as close as handing them the keys. Who knows what we'll see.

Wishlist:

Retro Studios

Retro Studios new game: It's been rumored that Retro started working on their next game when they finished up DKC: Tropical Freeze. What have they been working on? Is it a new Metroid? Perhaps it's Star Fox? F-Zero? Maybe it's Zelda Wii U? Or a new IP? There's a rumor that they might show their game. I hope so too, I wanna see what they've been up to.

New Metroid: I don't care if it's in first-person, 2D, or 3D, I just want a new Metroid. Or Zero Mission on the eShop.

Old IP revived: I'd love to see a retro revival. I don't know of what, so surprise me.

New IP's: Selling a new ip is risky business, you don't know if it'll sell or not. So far, we've gotten Codenamed S.T.E.A.M. and Splatoon for new IP's. Hopefully some new ones are in the works.

Fix the amiibo situation: I added this one as a joke, as we all know that won't happen. But I can wish right?

New Kirby: I doubt it as we've got Rainbow Curse, but who knows?

Cross-platform purchases: It's one thing everyone wants, and Nintendo has been experimenting with the idea with a few games, so they aren't against it. I'd love to be able to buy a game on the Wii U, and if it's available on the 3DS, to be able to play there and vice-versa without have to pay for it again.

 Gamecube

Gamecube games on the eShop: There's alot of great games on the Gamecube, and many that'll never see the light of day again. This would be a better alternative if Nintendo doesn't want to remake them.

F-Zero: It's been ages since a new F-Zero, I would love to see a new one, or the very least, remake GX and sell it on the eShop.

Pokemon MMO: This one will never happen, but XY/ORAS are the closest we have to a Pokemon mmo.

Mario and Sonic platformer crossover game: So far, we've had them both in the Olympics and in Smash. The closest we'll ever have is Smash, as Smash is really a platformer with fighting mechanics. I'd love to see them in a traditional platformer, be it in 2d, 3d, or both.

Other/not likely but maybe:

Nintendo NX teaser: Nintendo said they wouldn't show any info on this till 2016. But who knows, maybe they'll give us a glimpse of the future.

Zelda Wii U: It was the one game I was looking forward to the most, and you can bet I was disappointed when it was delayed. But I'm in favor of more development time as it'll result in a better game. But maybe they'll show us a teaser and the title to give us a better idea of what they are doing.

 Super Mario Galaxy 3

Super Mario Galaxy 3/Next Mario Game: If this happens, this would make it the best E3 since Super Mario Galaxy 2 was announced. Or if it's the next Mario game, hopefully it'll live up to the Galaxy games. Whatever it is, I want it to blow me away like the first time I played Galaxy 1 and 2.

So that's everything I'm looking forward to from Nintendo's E3 this year, in terms of predictions and wishes. Sorry if this was too long. What are you looking forward to from Nintendo? Anything you're hoping to see? I'll post a recap blog once this is all done, so thanks for reading and later.

I just noticed Europe and Japan are getting Woolly World this summer and we're waiting till Fall....wtf? Well then a release date would be nice for that. I thought June 26th was it. I'm just hoping for some new announcements of games that have possibly been in development and we just didn't know. Fall normally gets its line up through E3 each year. Sadly the one game I was hoping for to be at E3 was Zelda U and I read several articles saying it won't be shown this year there. I really couldn't care for the NX. I know a lot of people are curious about it but I still have faith in the Wii U  and that it can improve sales wise. Hell it technically has since launch. They just need to keep putting out new hardware, even if it means creating new IPs  with their own set of developers. The best thing you can do when others don't support you is show you don't need them, I think right now Nintendo is doing that pretty well.

I love E3, too.  I wish they'd still let me into it.

Nintendo is full of surprises, so I bet we'll see a lot of stuff.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to Fatal Frame.  I reviewed the first game and while it was slow and clunky, the one on 3DS (Spirit Camera was in fact, a Fatal Frame game), was kind of fun.  Normally I don't get into these kinds of games, but I like ghosts.

I bet Nintendo will play up Mario Maker since they're having demos of it at Best Buy.

Yoshi's Woolly World has a release date in Japan of July 16.  I've seen videos on their Japan YouTube channel.  It's SO CUTE!

I'm sure I'll post an E3 article, too.  Hopefully Microsoft, Sony, and other companies will come out with stuff as interesting as Nintendo's.

I'd love a new 3D Mario but I need a Wii U first.

It's going to be interesting. I'm watching the Xbox thing starting Monday at 7pm EST. I'll probably miss all the rest with work and such during the week. I rely on Pixlbit to fill me in on the rest.

Nintendo is at a crossroads right now, I feel. They're getting into phone games and VR interest is starting to build. i wonder if they will incorporate that into their new system.
